This remote makes it so much easier to manage all of your systems in one!! It something goes wrong and does not work you can just push the help feature and it will go trough all the steps to fix the problem for you! It also comes with an app to help you figure out things and add or delete features. I just bought two more for my home. I am not tech savvy and I have the in home set up done because I lack the skills and time. The thing that would have made it 5 stars for me is if you could just hold it next to the remote or product you want it to work with and that completed the set up. But that is just me

So far so good! Just purchased so I need some more time to evaluate this remote. I had Total Tech Support come out and get me started. I am an old man and get a little flustered with setting up this stuff, but it seems pretty easy if you don’t have a complicated setup. The one roadblock that many will have during setup is the CEC/HDMI(ARC) controls in all the different devices. There are work arounds but they seem to be above my pay grade. Once you start using the Harmony remote you have to pretty much use it exclusively, because it remembers the last state (on or off) and if you use another remote and forget to set it back to we’re it was, you are going to confuse the harmony remote and have to do a fix procedure. I am sorry if this confuses you, but join the club. I am sure that when it is fully set up it will become my primary remote, but for now it is a bit of pain.

I bought this for my parents (in their 70's) because they were still dealing with 4 remote controls to do various activities. I was little concerned that it would be too difficult for my mother to use, since she's not that technically savvy. To my amazement she learned how to use quicker than my father, who prides himself on being a tech guru (not...LOL). Anyway, I gave it 4 instead of a 5 because it was a pain the you know what to setup. There is no way they would have been able to do the setup. It also did not work properly with an android box they owned. Other than these two issues, they are very pleased and so am I.

    Best Universal Remote

Purchase while you can. FYI- Logitech is discontinuing their line of universal adapters. Good New, they will continue to update drivers. I hope they keep this promise. Regardless, Harmony Elite continued to place Logitech at the top of universal remotes. If you do not have a proprietary home automation system (Control 4, AMX, Crestron), this is the best solution on the market. It can communicate with any device. My only gripe, is that it only comes with two IR ports and the built-in IR. So it seems that you are limited to three devices. But, within those three devices, you have the best remote, yet.

I have a Sony 4K TV, Sony A/V receiver, a DirecTV DVR, and an Xbox One S (used for 4K video streaming and 4K Blu-Ray). The Logitech Elite was very easy to set up. I can now press one button on the Elite to fire up everything needed to watch DirecTV or I press a different button to turn on the components required to stream video from the Xbox. I can also switch between the two activities seamlessly with one button click. The Elite will even automatically switch inputs on the A/V Receiver as required for each activity. The Elite's control of individual components is outstanding and intuitive. Customization of individual component control is possible but I currently don't need to do that as I am satisfied with the functionality of the Logitech programmed controls for each component. Since setting up the Elite, I have not touched the original remotes supplied with any of my equipment as I never found that there was a missing command. The Logitech Elite is pricey but I firmly believe I got what I paid for and would highly recommend the Elite if you are juggling too many remotes.

    Logitech Unifying Remotes Rock!

Why did I wait so long to purchase this fantastic unifying remote? The price was a deterent but it is very much worth the cost. It's the only unifying remote I've had that can fully operate everything in my system. I have a smart TV with many apps installed, a cable box, a high end stereo Receiver, & DVD player. I don't have to have any other remotes out. It also has the ability to connect to your smart lights so you can turn them on & off with the Logitech remote. That makes the wife very happy! I'm very sad that Logitech announced the were no longer going make these remotes. The upside is they will still support them. Great unifying remote especially if you're tired of using multiple remotes!

We purchased this to replace our old Harmony 900. It was very easy to program and the online instructions were excellent. The average user should have no problems at all. You can program it to control up to 15 devices. We have 7 devices and it worked immediately on all our system's devices with no problems. The control distance range is excellent and response is immediate. Overall we are very pleased. The only thing we have any trouble with is getting used to the touchscreen channel changing method of swiping the screen. There is no push button pad for channel selection. It is all done by touchscreen using the 50 channels you can program in as ones you normally want to watch. The problem for us is that you have to swipe the screen to move up or down in the channels. It scrolls very fast and usually goes all the way to the end with only one swipe. When I attempt to swipe the screen slower to scroll slower, it goes to the first channel I touched as I swiped the screen. This is just a frustration, not a defect in the unit. It would be nice if a menu offered a way to slow down the scrolling speed. I have tried to find such an option but have not so far.

Very Overpriced, Not Very Smart Remote

It's a good remote. It's NOT $350 good. I've had Harmony remotes for the last 20 years. I stopped using one a couple of years ago when I got a FireTV cube that could do all the things Harmony does, better. Sadly, I ditched the FireTV for Roku, and was in need of a universal remote again. Using this latest one honestly feels like going back in time 20 years. Technology has expanded and grown so much over the years, especially in the smart home space and yet my Harmony remote still cannot run specific routines (like if I press pause, it should pause the tv, raise the lights at the same time and when I hit resume, resume playback and dim the lights). This thing costs almost as much as an entire TV, $50 less then a digital PS5 and 1/3 as much as my brand new cell phone and yet it is so limited in what it can do it's frustrating. I wanted it to work my sengled wifi lights which it says it supports, oh but surprise only specific sengled lights that have a hub. My Gosund led light strips? Nope, sorry. No hub, no luck, despite the Harmony having its own hub that apparently is nothing more than a giant IR blaster used to send signals to your equipment (even though I thought that's what the actual remote was). It says it supports Bluetooth, but not PS5 which uses Bluetooth. Sorry. Too bad for you. It's laggy because the actual remote sends a signal to the hub which sends a signal over wifi or IR or Bluetooth (unless it's a PS5) to your device. There's a chain there and despite my gig speed wifi, there's also a lag. Especially with quick button presses like when fast forwarding or rewinding. It's $100-$150 remote at best because it is so limited in what it can do. Does it work? Yeah. Is it built nicely? Yes. But it works like stuff did 20 years ago. Things have advanced so much and if my $90 FireTV can dim the lights, close the curtains, play Backstreet Boys, turn on my TV and put on Netflix all with a simple programmable routine, why can't this $350 remote and hub also do these things?

You can run everything through this remote. It's quite user-friendly (once you get it set up). It’s amazing how many remotes it can replace for you. I have a lot of audio gear, and I had no problem adding all of my equipment to it. It's great having 1 remote. The Harmony also does a great job narrowing down such a wide range of remotes for a wide range of different types of equipment into one basic functionality. The only reason I took a star off is the touch screen on it is unbelievably sensitive. If you're not actually tapping in requests, you have to make sure you avoid the screen at all costs, or you end up setting off every function on the screen.
