I was able to easily replace my hard of remotes with a single remote. I love the integration with Alexa

Best option for HT with NVIDIA shield

My wife was tired of using a million remotes in the living room (directv, samsung tv, xbox one, denon receiver, nvidia shield pro). So even though this was about $250 it was the only 'one remote to rule them all' option. It works well but not perfectly. On occasion certain components will not turn one/off when the activity is selected. When this issue happens, most of the time it is the shield that is affected. Hub setup can be confusing and not very intuitive for a first time user. I would only recommend the elite for users that need to control this wide smattering of components, specifically the nvidia shield pro 2019.

I am into Home Automation and the Elite is great addition to my system. Interfacing it with Alexa & IFTTT/Wink allows me to use voice commands to do practically everything that I could do with the remote. From watching TV or DVD and streaming from Roku. I simply say a phrase like "Movie Time" and it starts the TV, Audio Amp and Blu-ray. Opens the Tray and closes it 20 sec later then turns off the lights in the room. When I'm done it turns on the lights, opens the tray and shuts everything down. When watching TV I can change channels and Volume with simple voice commands. My only complaint is that Harmony doesn't interface directly with Wink, which make the dedicated Home Automation buttons useless for me. That is the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars.

I'm coming from the Harmony One. It was a great remote but the buttons wear out and it's limited to IR. I had an eye on the Elite for a while. The RF to the hub was only part of the selling point. The remote also supports direct IR (from the remote to the Device), IP control (my AVR), Bluetooth connectivity (my Apple TV/PC), smart home integration and universal sync across your smartphone apps/remote. The sync is a dramatic improvement from using the Harmony desktop software using a USB connection. The IR from the hub had better reach than I expected in my 4 shelf closed (glass) cabinet. The Xbox One did require the IR extender to be placed in front of the XB1 IR. The buttons require less effort and hopefully don't suffer from same wear as the other Harmony remotes. Time will tell how it holds up. Overall, the price is worth the upgrade for the enhanced features and future uses. An example is Amazon Echo integration for voice control released recently. Check pricing and see if there is an opportunity for price match. Highly recommended!

This is replacing a Harmony 880 Remote that I've used for years, but have been unable to update with the Harmony Software since Windows 8/10. This new remote was simple to program with my iPhone. It was timeconsuming - it really didn't bring over all my equipment settings from my Harmony 880 profile, although it appeared that it was going to. Regardless, I was able to get everything up and running in an hour or so. The remote itself is easy to use and feels good to hold. I still need to play with the default activity screens; I'm not a fan of the "swipe" default screen to swipe for volume. I'd rather have the number pad since there are volume buttons, but no number buttons. Also, I'd like to figure out custom activity icons, but the included ones are sufficient for now.

It was easy to set up. Especially since it took the setting from the Harmony One (previous remote) and carried them right over. After a little customization (you need to try the default setup for to see what you want it to do or don't need it to do). Now it is awesome. PS4 compatibility: The hub will connect via Bluetooth, once you set that up in the PS4. The remote will not turn the PS4 on, but it will put it in rest mode when you are done. Navigation in the PS4 is clumsy, but works. It does pause, play, etc in apps like Netflix, which is what I wanted. I just wish it could turn on the PS4 (I understand Sony made it this way). No biggie. Well, anyway...I would definitely recommend this remote if you are thinking about replacing your Harmony One.

Great glue device for my home theater system

Remote serves as a glue device for my home theater system. Had problems before since TV had a Bluetooth controller, with my soundbar being IR. This device merged them both without any problems. Noticing some hiccups when changing from 'Watching TV' activity to 'Watch SMART TV'. It cycles through the menu twice, which may have to do with the command repetition value. Need to tinker with this to see if I can cure it. It also has me thinking how I can make other devices (like ceiling fans) compatible so I can use the remote to create 'scenes' for the activities. This device is definitely for the tinkerer, although if you're willing to overlook a couple of bugs, it can take minimal effort to get your devices controlled to your satisfaction.

The price on this one is high and not at all a necessity. Now that I’ve gotten that disclaimer out, buy this one before any other universal remote. First, it really does work through cabinets for all our devices. Two, the app is so much easier than the actual remote, and considering the rest of our house is controlled by apps too, it’s a natural extension for us. Three, no more dropping the remote that costs $100-$200 off the couch, chair, etc., and smashing it on the ground. This makes up for the initial high cost because you don’t have to keep replacing a broken or semi broken kind of works if you don’t shake up the loose parts device. Four, for all the old school people who pretend they don’t understand apps (I’m looking at you moms and dads who really just want your kids to come over and do it for you so you don’t have to read and figure it out), there’s the traditional device. Five, you don’t have to be in the room or in line-of-sight of the hub or blasters-enough said.

This is my second Logitech Harmony remote (first one lasted 7 years) and overall these are excellent controllers. The only issues I've had are with the initial setup, but I'm using mine for two different rooms with most of the equipment housed in a closet and some of the components are duplicates assigned to each room. This remote handles this complexity perfectly, but it did take some work to get everything configured before it worked like I wanted. If you have the time and patience to set it up, I definitely recommend and if you have a less complicated setup, this will be even easier to use and enjoy.

Over the years I have used several Logitech Harmony remotes. The harmony Elite is an excellent product and is a great step toward actual home integration via universal remote. Overall I will say functions such as running home theater equipment and thermostats and certain lighting Products is very good. The reason for my four star review instead of 5 is that I wish there was more customizable programming available for buttons to make specific commands on features missing from other remotes. I'm satisfied with my purchase overall and do like this product. I'm also excited to see what the future may bring from Logitech for these types of products as well. If you're into home integration annwn devices that are capable I'd say it's worth the money.

This was an upgrade to my previous Harmony remote (I took advantage of the trade in program). The remote itself is great, however the new setup software takes some getting used to! It's great if you have new equipment, but if you have an older item (like my Sony CD/DVD player) it's a little more convoluted. It was not instantly clear how to program the functions using the Sony's remote control, as that function is somewhat hidden in the software, but it can be done! Once set up it's a breeze to use! Also, not at all impressed by the Phone App, will never use it so no big deal for me.

This is by far the best Harmony remote product I've owned. The setup is much simpler with the Elite system. In the past if you purchased a new remote you had to setup all your devices and activities from scratch. With this remote once you set up your Harmony account you can import all the devices and activities from your old remote. Huge time saver! The remote doesn't even have to be pointed towards any of your devices to function flawlessly thanks to the hub. The ability to control all of your devices from your smartphone is another nice feature. You don't even have to be in the same room! I made this purchase in a panic as Logitech has discontinued the Harmony Remote line, but I wish I had bought it years ago. What a great product!
