Great universal remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came off a URC MX900 that had to be programmed by an installer. In the last 6 years I've swapped out all my equipment and had the software, so I was able to program the MX. I had to do a lot of "head-to-head" teaching due to no access to an updated equipment database. When I saw that the Harmony Elite had 270,000 products it is compatible with, that sold me. I deployed the hub and IR blasters in and out of the equipment cabinet, as spelled out in the "suggested setup" section of the manual and everything works like clockwork. It has RF, IR and Bluetooth, so I'm able to control my Samsung UN65KS9000, UBD-K8500, Denon AVR 3312ci receiver, Wii U and a Lutron Grafik Eye lighting system. It has great ergonomics, and although not as "beefy" as the MX, it is very easy to setup and use. It has "sequence" (macro) capabilities and delay between button presses, etc. It was a real joy to program and modify. Love it!

Great universal remote!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now I just use one remote! My technological skills are a medium level. The Best Buy guy recommended that I put away my other 5 remotes and he could program this universal remote. It is great!!! I found it online on amazon and he matched the price! He programmed my xbox, my dvd player, my tv, my ipad, my surround sound system, my vcr/dvd dubber! He clearly labeled the screen on my remote, to do all of these activities. I press 2 buttons on the remote: 1) activities button for what I want to do (play xbox, watch smart tv, watch tv, watch a dvd etc....) and 2) the device button - then I select what device that I need to do my activity - and it turns the universal remote into the remote for that specific device. He explained it to me, I asked questions, I took notes....it is easy!

Solid remote almost as good as Harmony One
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After owning two Harmony One remotes for over 10 years I upgraded one of the remotes to the Elite. I miss some of the dedicated buttons that were on the Harmony One, but the ability to use the Hub to control other devices with WiFI makes up for any shortcomings. Using Lutron Caseta for lighting is simple and evvective with the Elite. Channel changes by the hub are quick and accurate. The ability to hide all of your components was the key reason for the purchase of the Elite for our new home. Only area needing improvement is battery life, the original Harmony One would last up to two weeks where as the Elite only lasts a few days before needing a charge.

Logitech Harmony Eite remote is a logical choice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I purchased this temote for my mom. While she's familiar with her laptop, tablet & phone, she's not all that tech-savvy. So this remote has been a killer choice! She can easily turn on any device. For instance, by just pressing the touchscreen icon labeled TV, it automatically turns on her tv, receiver & DVR at the same time. Then, if she wants to watch Netflix or use a PlayStation all you have to do is press a button & it instantly switches to the proper input- on the tv & receiver! Having it be both rf & Bluetooth is so convenient for anyone. It's pricey but if you want something easy to use, reliable & what I call "mom friendly" this is for you.

This is the best remote hands down!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I was hesitant to buy this due to price but really needed a solution for the multiple remote fiasco that was my life. With 3 kids who were constantly losing the remotes, it made sense to get one that could do it all. Now even my youngest who is 4 knows where to put the remote when they are done. It sits nicely in its charging cradle when not in use. It works great with not only my TV, Satellite box and sound bar but even can control my Hue lights! Granted I still use Alexa primarily for those but it is also nice that this remote can communicate with Alexa and I can change the channels with voice if I need to. I had a harmony a long time ago when they first came out and it never really worked great so I gave up on them, but now they are better than ever and I recommend anyone who needs a single remote and wants to have control over multiple device go pick you up one of these!

Still the best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are a lot of remote control systems on the market, but this one is special. I've installed several of these remotes for myself, clients and friends who grew frustrated with their various remote controls or specialized URC or Crestron systems. If you have a media center with a lot of devices and controls, this system is relatively easy to install, program and use. Best of all, if you buy a new device, it's easy to reprogram your settings. There are some smarthome features, but controlling lights from the remote isn't something I bothered with. It's the Amazon Echo skill that really makes this system shine. I can change channels, adjust volume and set lighting scenes with a single command.

Solid remote

Nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fits in my hand better than the Ultimate. Its nice to have 4 home controls buttons on this remote since the Ultimate has none. Very disappointing that you cant add home controls to the touch screen. That alone makes it largely useful for TV only.

Easy to use and convenient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have multiple entertainment devices with multiple remotes, this product can handle it all. The remote itself is great and covers just about any function needed out of the box. But if there are special keys on the original remote, it's possible to teach this remote those keys. On top of that, the hub makes it even easier because you don't have to keep the remote in the line of sight for the devices to turn on and change inputs. The hub "blasts" to the devices to turn on and make necessary changes. I don't even have to be in the same room to turn it on if I have the remote in my hand! There is some patience required to get it all to work. My TV, blu-ray player, gaming consoles and whatnot work great. Now my receiver is being a pain where it sets any input except for Bluetooth. But it looks like it's a configuration change that's needed for the remote.

Awesome if you have a lot of gadgets
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the tune of $249, this is worth it if you have a lot of gadgets to connect. One of our set ups just has a tv and a DVD player, and found that i don't really need it. Unfortunately it was too late to return it. the other set up has 5 different gadgets connected and it is fantastic. I gave this a 4 because if you disconnect one gadget is is a pain in the neck and you have to reset everything. Also, if it doesn't auto recognize your device, be ready with serial numbers and all that stuff, plus time to set up. After that, it is a breeze though.

Not Always Flawless
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this with a new T.V. and reciever. Connected with turntable, DVD player, CD Player, and Amazon Echo Cube. Geek Squad programmed this for us. I like the ease of selecting what "Activity" we want and having everything pre-set for that. Sometimes activities get out of sync. buttons are are not always as responsive as I wished. Wish I had been involved in the programming so I understood better all I might do with this. Overall very happy. I have not tried to use the app, but have been told it is not as responsive as I migh hope.

Great remote (for less than full price)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had pretty much every variant of Logitech Harmony remote that they've released. The Harmony Elite is a little different (in that it uses the wifi hub to essentially control everything.) The remote itself is just a way to interact with that hub. That opens up lots of possibilities (using your phone and/or tablet as a second "remote") but is a little strange to get used to. If you've got a complex system, it's worth picking up - just don't pay full retail. They run deals quite often where it's on sale. (I actually got mine on sale, and then took $100 off by trading in an old - barely functioning - Harmony remote that was just taking up space in my drawer.)
