I previously bought the 650 because I was afraid the Elite's price. But the Elite is worth it. It controls by IR-based fans, all 4 of my tvs, all 3 of my Sound Bars, and all 3 of my GoogleTV Chromecast from my phone and remote. The Hub is the seller because it's the brains. The remote is useful when you don't want to use your phone. Setup takes some work. Expect 3 hours if you are not accustomed to IR vs Radio Waves.

I assume most people buy a universal remote to simplify. I was trying to reduce the 3 remotes I have (TV, Tivo, and Receiver) down to one. I tend to like the best of the best, and I assumed this Harmony "Elite" was it. Unfortunately, after opening the box, I realized how much work this was going to be. This remote required me to first install a "Hub" and connect it to my Wifi. The hub is the device that actually speaks to my system. Apparently, It can also connect and control your home automation system and probably feed your cats. Next, I'd have to set up IR dongles near my equipment. Then, I have to download the app to my phone. THEN I can finally start to program the remote. This was just too much for me. I just wanted a remote. I thought maybe I could exclude the hub and just set the remote up the way I want. Unfortunately, you have to first set up the hub and download the app before you can set up the remote. I'm looking to remove 2 pieces of equipment, not add 3 more. This just wasn't for me. It probably does everything you want. If that is what you're looking for, you don't mind the extra pieces of equipment, and you're willing to go through the setup process, then this might be for you. I just wanted a universal remote for my TV and this wasn't it.

My goal is to eliminate the need for calls to AV technician every time a component is changed! Pretty good value for the money. Relatively easy to program using preprogrammed codes. I had no problem finding almost all of my components. Could not find my projector, but it is 15 years old! Macros work as expected 99% of the time. Not compatible with Nest thermostat.

This remote is just what I needed. It replaced every remote in my house, controls the lights, and controls my thermostat. I have special buttons setup for all kinds of things, like a (Good Night) button that turns off my entertainment system, lights and sets the temp in the house to 65°. You can also put a custom picture on the screen. The battery last for 4-5 days if all the lights and motion sensors are set to high and your fast forwarding thew commercial alot like my fence does lol. But normal use it lasts about 2 weeks. The battery has never ran out on me because I drop it into the charger at night, not a hassle lol.

Purchased this with an LG CD 77" TV with Apple TV 4K and hooked up a Sonos (ARC, Sub, (2) SL One). Best decision I made. We are not the type of family that has to upgradeto the latest and greatest stuff. We try to buy the best stuff once and not worry bout it till it needs to be replaced. I did a TON of research and decided on this system with the remote. Had Bestbuy set up the remote after everything was installed. No having to worry bout a bunch of remotes. This one remote DOES IT ALL...

This remote has saved me so much time by just having to deal with 1 remote instead of 3-5 separate remotes. Once it's setup and you've added all your devices, it's just a matter of setting up a few desired activities. Once those activities are setup, it's as simple as pressing one button to turn everything on for that one activity. I connected this with my Amazon Echo, and that has been the best part. The range of possibilities for what you can do are endless with that combination.

We've had a few Harmony remotes over the years. The setup software gets better and better to the point where setting up the new one (TV, Apple TV, DTV, BD) is even easier. Only reason it gets 4 stars is the close proximity of the Activities button to the rewind button and the lack of a hard keypad (vs. using the touchscreen). The Hub works so well that you don't even need to use the blasters if your components are tucked away in a cabinet.

When It is functional it is great. It is bit much for our needs. We really just want a remote that controls our devices and isn’t so finicky.

This is the second Harmony Elite that we have bought. The setup is interesting, as you need separate email for each remote, which is difficult... They support everything we have in our home and have not had any issues with connecting.. I will say, after a couple of years, the remote needed to be "rebooted" to remember where it was.. it was frustrating because we did not know how to fix it.. we ended up figuring it out.. Overall good product... I believe the newer ones have voice control built in, but this one does not.

Great - big improvement over the Ultimate Home

This remote is a BIG improvement over its predecessor (the Ultimate Home). Play, FF, Rewind buttons are in a much better place as it pertains to touch screen - remote much easier to use - ergonomically friendly. Yes, the price sucks. But good remotes like this have always been 300 dollars or so. It's nothing new. For me, well worth the upgrade. Only negative for me is that Logitech still hasn't updated the firmware to actually interface with the Playstation 4 properly. Yes, it "works" with it once paired via bluetooth - but not really (doesn't work with some apps, doesn't work once you've pressed play on a blu ray disc, etc).

The remote is everything you expect for a top tier harmony. It supports every device you can think of and has an easy setup experience. I was disappointed with the quality of the touchscreen and the response. The screen looks like it's out of date and it is slow to respond in my opinion. For $300+ I would expect a little more attention to things like this. Overall a nice remote with too many options to even list. Control of zwave lights is a definite bonus.

This is the best ever remote made. I am an electronic freak and I have been licensed to install most expensive home theater remote systems. none of them can come close to this remote in regards to setting up and suability. this is the best ever made remote for home theater that you as a user can do it yourself and still achieve many advanced controls that are so basic but the bigger 2k or 3K remote can't even do. I love this and I suggest everyday!

Does just about everything you would want in a universal remote, but not quite perfect yet. Pretty easy to set-up and works well with multiple home electronics. It takes some time to learn and many times catch myself having to reset. For the price I would not expect that. It fits my needs and is the best out there in my opinion, but still needs a little work.

I had purchased a Savant System hoping that could be my one all be all and it absolutely sucked so I ended up going back to what I knew, which was Logitech. I have two prior older remotes from Logitech but never coughed up the money to buy the top of the line one, but after getting burned by Savant, I decided I might as well buy this one. The controller is easy to use, works well and was really easy to program! Definitely worth it

This is a really nice remote. Build quality is great. Feels nice in the hands. Touch screen isn't bad. Setup wasn't super intuitive though. The hub works great at sending ir signals. I just placed it on the bottom shelf of the entertainment center, and it works. Also controls my hue lights. The only con would be the app, doesn't make a good remote and setup was tricky to navigate. I would recommend setting up on a computer. I would still highly recommend this remote. Lots of customization. Feels premium.

So far so good, bought this model to control multiple devices, Panasonic big screen tv, Pioneer av receiver, Apple TV, Samsung blu-Ray player, one remote replaced four. Fits in hand much better than the thin Apple TV remote, touch screen on this model can be a bit sensitive while handling or picking up the device. One button turns everything off, touch screen tap turns everything on, can control individual devices as needed, change settings on devices as well.

When I received my new 4K LG OLED tv, the Geek Squad recommended the Logitech Harmony Elite Remote. He brought it over and set it up so it now controls the remotes of my LG tv, Yamaha receiver, Oppo 4K blu-ray player and the Optimum cable box. It's a powerful product. Only one criticism: some buttons are a little small for my pudgy fingers. Meanwhile the other remotes still work fine. Otherwise, top-notch product.

I purchased this remote for the purpose of getting rid of six different remote controls for all of my home entertainment components. Additionally I wanted to be able to integrate everything for voice control via Amazon Echo & Alexa Devices. I had the Geek Squad do the setup and I could not be happier!! Everything works exactly as I wanted, I have eliminated all of the individual remotes and now use the Harmony Elite Control and Smart Hub for everything including lights and receptacles.

The remote connects to everything without any fuss. it controls it correctly with ease. but the lack of physical number buttons is a pain in the butt. The last harmony I had was the 900. I got very used to the ease of a physical button. the touch panel is slow to respond, so you cannot make quick inputs. But overall the best option I have found available.

Have always used Logitech harmony remotes for over 10 years now and every latest generation just gets better. Between the rf, ir, Bluetooth, and z-wave system control, there’s nothing this remote can’t do. Keep in mind, I’m someone who like to tweak things perfectly. But anyone (girlfriend, mother, guest) can walk into my house and be able to watch tv or whatever they wanted to without any issues. Whether you set it up through the app, or online, it really wasn’t super hard to set up. And the customization of all the features is the best hands down.
