If you have good eyes to see all your device correct model number this provably would not be a hard this to set up. The unit set up I did through my apple iPad Pro. I 1st had to get all my device correct model number. Then I program the remote through my iPad this took a while to do because the software is a little different then you would expect. After it was all set up this provably took me about 4 to 5 hours. Again you can say that I don't use computers everyday but this is faults, at work and at home. Ones you have it running it's great A+++++

Setup is intuitive, and product works well

Because I am not technologically adept, I approached the setup of the Harmony Elite Remote with trepidation. That said, the setup was intuitive. I had one question (regarding the tuner input on an older receiver) that wasn't addressed on the Logitech website, but the service rep answered the question promptly and coherently. Since then the product has worked flawlessly. In short, the product works and the customer service seems great.

GREAT REMOTE FOR THE TECH SAVY

This Is a great remote but you have to now tech and how to use a computer. If you do know these two things then you could program it with ease. My 14 year old daughter programed the whole thing. receiver, TV, Roku, dvd, continuum, and Samsung smart things home automation including thermostat. Once you have everything programed it is awesome. the only thing that I which it had was a digital qwerty key board on the digital touch screen or Mic Commands like the Roku has. it would make searches easier. Other than that I recommend this remote.

This remote is for the mild techy type it has some feature that make your systems flow. But you need to be patient and explore it, it does more than it says , I had to program what the geek didn’t know about this remotes abilities, love this remote, now my wife can use is it without my assistance and I’m a novice geek.

    Great update from touchscreen model

This is my second Harmony remote, first was a larger touchscreen that was more like a tablet. It takes a bit of getting used to - changing channels requires the learned "touch" of knowing a digit has been accepted. You can't move too quickly with this, but with custom programming for days, it works for my needs without getting into a much more expensive option.

    Great Universal Remote

When I say universal, I really mean it. It controls my shades and lights as well as my tv and audio/video equipment. I had some issues initially getting things set up, but their support group was good in helping me resolve things. Now that everything is working I love the remote. I also love that I can use my cell phone as well.

This is my 6th Harmony remote, 2 880's 3 One's now this Elite. Now that harmony moved the transport buttons where they belong I thought I would give the new Elite a try. This is my favorite so far even though it turned out to be defective. Harmony support was responsive and after going through the trouble shooting the CSR said they would be sending a new remote, we will see how quick they get it to me.

Bought this with high hopes. Had trouble setting up my dish Joey 2 and had to call customer service to get that fixed. Then have had trouble with the remote locking up. After every use, we have to hold the off button down for 30 seconds to reset, then put it back on the charger for a few seconds, and then it would work. But it would only work that one time. Ended up taking it back.

I had a Harmony 650 before and I will say this blows that thing away. It fits really nice into my hand and I love that you can put it into a dock to charge it. I would say the only negative is the lack of a number pad. It is on the touchscreen. I run a Yamaha receiver, a PS4, Hopper 3 and an Apple TV. I also have it connected to my Nest Thermostat. It also works with an Amazon Echo Dot so I can use my voice to turn on and off the tv, turn the volume up or down or change the channel. I was able to use the $100 trade in offer as well.

I have 4 of these Harmony Elite remotes in my home. Obviously, I love them! I've tried other brands that were very high end and so complicated and not at all user friendly that I ended up trashing them. Logitech's Harmony is easy to set up and edit as needed. It's designed for the average homeowner to use. Although this review is based on my most recent purchase, I've had this product in my home for close to 10 years. I highly recommend it.

Works Very Well with My Difficult Sound Bar

I went from 5 remotes to 1 Logitech Harmony Elite. Vizio TV Bowers & Wilkens Panorama 2 Sound Bar (not recommended) DirecTV DVR Apple TV Amazon Fire Stick The challenge was the sound bar as it only supports infrared signals. The Harmony Elite remote easily walked me through setup and figured out that I had to use its infrared signal. This device is totally worth the cost. I watch a moderate amount of TV and so the remote has to be recharged every 4-5 days.

It does what it says it is supposed to do. Adjust all your inputs at the push of one button. However Harmony only makes single way remotes, no two way. In other words it will not confirm if something is off. So you might have to press on again on the remote and off again to get your item to actually turn off. Not a huge deal but something to be aware of.

This is by far the best Harmony remote that's been released. It's fast. Great touch screen, very easy to use. Usually people can't figure out my remotes but this one they have no problem with. Love that it has dedicated buttons for smart lighting like the Philips Hue. I can't believe how many things it controls. I connected it to an app called Yonomi for Android and now I can have my system turn on and my lights as soon as I walk in the door. I do wish I could have it paired with 2 hubs at the same time but hopefully that will be a future feature.

Upgraded from a 7 year old Harmony remote. This is so easy to set up and since the transmitter is separate from the remote itself you don't need to worry about pointing it at the TV, etc while you use it. Much faster to turn everything on (I have TV, Bose soundsystem, HDMI switch, games/DVD/VHS tape/Blu-ray that all must be turned on and set correctly) and rarely do I have to press the help button to send the signals again because something did not turn on properly.

I was in a Best Buy store recently and one of the sales people explained what this remote system could do for me. It was pretty impressive. I bought it and also bought the Amazon Echo, which makes the remote system voice controlled, an extra bonus. I'm sure I haven't taken advantage of all this thing can do but it controls my entire system with one remote and I don't have to point it at anything. I have it set up as an RF remote, which means my equipment can be hidden behind doors and the remote still controls everything.

Combined several remote controls -samsung tv, cable box, roku. IR can be a little tricky; picks up those on network very well. I wind up using my phone as the remote quite frequently. Takes a little get use to the different buttons or phone screens but relatively intuitive. Wish remote held its charge a little longer Looking for a second one.

The team who came in who programmed my remote control knew what they were doing. Very pleasant team and was able to program the remote control quickly with no problem. The only device that the team forgot to add is the X-box - called Geek squad and will reschedule accordingly.

Going from 6 remotes down to one, and being able to program everything and sync all our devices was done with ease, and the app was just as easy and being able to do everything on both the app and remote, was almost worth the price by itself, just like Apple products this was simplistic and you don’t have to be tech savy either.

We've had three of these remotes. I like that they control everything. It makes life much easier. One thing that i don't like about this new model is that the fast forward/backward button has the control options right above it.So, if your not careful you push that instead and op out of the program your watching. They need to put it at the very top so this doesn't happen.

Things I like: Durable Great Quality Textured bottom for grip Good range LCD touch screen Things I don't like: Takes long time to setup activities (sync takes forever) Sometimes if making lots of changes multiple syncs end up occuring Sometimes a lag in sending request from remote to Harmony Hub Have to play around with order of devices in activities as devices may turn on then off when starting activity
