Logitech has really improved the ease of programming and ease of performing the connectivity. I have amplifiers, a preamp, HD player, Xbox, and a Blu-Ray player connected to my TV. The Harmony unit turns each of the components on or off as required for the activity w/exception to the amplifiers which are activated by a trigger. Glad I purchased ...

I was happy this did turn on all my gear. I figured the projector would be tough. I'm having trouble getting he input on my audio processor to select the right input. It isn't simple to just add that I guess. I'm still working on echo integration.

I can't be happier, easy smart phone app setup and this remote has no limitations. Totally customize the button as you like, as well as the activities. Enter your devices, setup your activities and you are on your way. Once you are familiar with the remote you can dig in and start customizing the buttons and fine tuning the controls as you like.

Harmony remotes take you out of the dark into the light. Setup is straight forward and easy, upgrading from an old remote is not so easy (for me a real pain, but this is a Harmony issue).

This remote is wonderful. It runs many things such as Apple TV, my DVD player, Fire stick, etc. It also sends the signal through walls and cabinet doors. This keeps everything out of sight and very neat looking. Love that it has a charging port rather than plug in or batteries.

Decent DIY option. Much better than having to pay someone to reprogram a Savant whenever I add a device. Connection is not always great, but leas hassle than the alternative.

This remote works great with all my audio equipment. It's easy to set up with different types of audio devices to one remote. If you follow the directions and set up a program for what equipment to turn on, it will work great. My wife is not tech savvy and it's easy for her to be able to turn on the cable box, receiver and the TV all in one touch.

    Logitech - Harmony Elite (Awesome)

I purchased the Logitech Harmony Elite to coordinate with all the other Best Buy goodies I had purchased. Low and behold, I really didn't need this. So, it was returned at the time that the Geek Squad was installing my tv, soundbar, etc. So, I do not have a valuable review of this product.

I had a Logitech Harmony One remote for about 8 years before it died after being dropped too many times. It was replaced with a Harmony Elite which appeared to be similar to the Harmony One. The on-line setup was fairly straight forward provided that all the names and MODEL NUMBERS of the devices to be controlled were gathered beforehand. After setup, it turned out that the operation of the Elite was not as intuitive as the old remote. It appeared that Logitech went for "cute" rather than useful with this unit. The old remote had a physical numeric pad as part of the unit for direct entry of channel numbers. The Elite required a "sweep right" and entry on the touch screen. This did not seem, to me, to be as accurate as the physical key pad. Also, there was another screen with "favorite channels" which was created during the setup. If this screen, which could contain up to 50 channels, was set up in the order that they came to mind, and they remained in that order. ie: Showtime, HBO, ESPN, CBS, TNT ... They did not get resorted alphabetically nor were they ordered by channel number. This made that screen useless in my opinion. There were other idiosyncrasies with the Elite that made it annoying to use. I returned it and bought a Logitech Harmony Companion. The setup was mostly the same but the Companion does not have backlit keys. The battery of the Companion is not rechargeable , but it last for about a year and is very cheap.

Turns my Yamaha Receiver, TCL Roku TV and Nvidia Shield on/off and switches to correct inputs every time. Little laggy in the screen/navigation department and VERY expensive for what you get.

I originally purchased a Harmony 650 but ended up purchasing this remote instead because this one worked with all of my streaming devices. My husband is not tech savy and Logitech helped me set everything up easily so he could just press on the activity he wanted and go. It now connects to my Alexa so he just has to say what he wants. It's perfect.

I've been using the Harmony One for many years. The Harmony Elite works so much better. Setup via smartphone was a breeze. My old Harmony One was finicky. The new Harmony Elite with Hub is near perfect. It just works.

I had an older more expensive Control 4 system which was becoming less responsive. This remote does everything that the Control system does and is less expensive. Easier to program and does not require an A/V company to install. Best Buy will program for $99 if you are short on time and you have many components. Easy to use and learn.

Switching between remotes is easy however you lose options / controls that you would have with the original remotes..like Volume...WTH! Overrated and overpriced... Sales rep also told me it would go through cabinets...Not!!!, I'm returning.

      Hi DeTroyit,

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Harmony allows you to customize the commands on the remote as per your requirement. So, you can add all the commands you need from the original remote. Refer the following support articles for more information.
Customizing buttons on your remote's screen [http://support.myharmony.com/en/customizing-buttons-on-your-remotes-screen]
Customizing physical buttons on your remote [http://support.myharmony.com/en/customizing-physical-buttons-on-your-remote]

With regards to "go through cabinets", yes, Harmony can control devices placed inside the cabinet. Harmony Hub & Remote communicated via RF, so place the Hub inside the closed cabinet, connect an IR mini blaster and place it outside to control the TV. Refer our support article [http://support.myharmony.com/en/properly-pointing-the-remote-or-positioning-the-hub] for more information.

I hope this will help, if you need any assistance email your Harmony login id to [email protected] and provide more information on the problems you're experiencing with Harmony Elite. We'll work with you resolve your concerns.

Best Regards, Peter (Harmony Remotes, Logitech). LogiCC

I synched the remote with most of my electronics; even some out-of-the-ordinary devices that use IR remotes such as my air conditioner! It integrates well with my Google Home and other home automation devices. 10/10 would recommend this remote. Price could be better though! My suggestion is to wait for a sale or bundle before buying.

I purchased this remote to replace an older universal remote that I had professionaly programmed for AV set up. That existing remote needed to be replaced due me breaking it so I went for the Harmony Elite. The out of box instructions are ok to start initially programming it. Where it seems to have issues is the hub becomes unresponsive and needs to be reset. Also if your wifi in the house goes down you cannot connect to the hub and the remote does not work. I would suggest to look validate if you need the wifi/smart home capabilities or would a standard universal remote be a better choice. In hind site i think i would opt for the standard universal remote.

I am blown away by the simplisity of use and the reliability of this remote. My reciever and all equipment is in the basement and I have no problems controling it all from my living room upstairs. The battery life on it is pretty amazing as well. I haven't had to charge it for 2-3 days before the charge battery sign comes up.

Super sad that Logitech cancelled the Harmony line entirely. I've purchased over 30 of the Harmony Elite over its life (clients, family, my living room and bedroom), and would easily buy another the next time I need one if they still exist!

I have another Harmony remote, but it was not an IR one. I attempted to set this remote up the same was as my other one, via the computer. However, this one seemed to work better while being in the same room as all the equipment and using the app on my IPAD.
