Awesome remote. Works great with Alexa. I even got to change channels with my voice. It freaked out my daughter in a good way. Takes about 45 minutes to setup. It helps to be good with application. Setup. Few things that need to be updated. The Apple TV remote needs to be intergrated with Harmony Hub and voice control using Alexa needs to be added. Otherwise great worth the purchase especially if you have Alexa

if your like me and have 700 devices all going at the same time. You need this! I wanted one remote to rule them all and I got it...on my phone! Yes you install the hardware and then install an app from logitech on your smart phone and it will control all your devices! I was looking at the other logitech devices that are all in ones and while the prices were fair it was more than I wanted t spend. then I saw the Harmoney....Hmmm install the app and sync all your devices with wifi/bluetooth! SOLD! Now while it works pretty well it could use some refinements, like the volume for my tv does not work so well, but it does work. all other functions work like a charm. It found all my devices and the interface works if not very visually appealing it does work. I would like to see some skins that would change the look and they may be out there I just have not checked yet... it was just under a 100.00 bucks and it took a whole 10 minutes to set it up after I read the instructions. Also its a small unit that is well designed and does not stick out in my stand. I am very happy with the purchase. The hardest part is finding the make and model of your units. If I was smart I would write those numbers down on the users manuals where they give you space to do that! :-) Also this device will control your lights and locks on your house if you have the compatible devices installed. All in all I would say its worth the money as I have only one remote and its on my cell and I dont have yet another remote laying around. And all the device remotes are tucked away nice and neat.

I bought this to pair it with Amazon echo and have full voice control over my TV and devices connected to my TV. It works like a charm, setup was easy and I haven't had any glitches. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect rating is that setting up more advanced voice control is tricky and can be complicated. For instance to launch a specific app you have to create a series of macros.

I bought this alongside Echo Dot. I use the Dot to control the hub and therefore I can say "Alexa, turn on the DVD player" Then Alexa says "OK" My TV comes on, the TV input is switched to my HDMI receiver. MY HDMI Receiver comes on and switches the input to Blu-Ray player. The Blu-ray player comes on. Now I am ready to pop in a DVD and play. I can do the same thing for "Turn on ROKU" or "Turn on XBox" or "Turn on the Wii" This really made it easier for my wife to know how to get the theater system configured for whatever she wanted to do.

This hub works great with Alexa to control your entertainment system (TV, Game Console, Blu Ray Player, etc...). Once you've setup your activities (for example, turn on TV, turn on sound system, and change to channel 4), you can just tell Alexa to "turn on channel 4", it will automatically run the sequence and get everything ready for you without having to touch the remote. One note for setting up Alexa skill - there are two Harmony skills available, one with a blue icon which is optimized for smart home with limited control but more natural voice command (e.x. "Alexa, turn on the TV"), one with red icon which has more controls but slightly different voice command (e.x. "Alexa, tell Harmony to turn on the TV"). I would recommend installing and experiment with both, they are useful in their own way. The only reason I giving it only a 4 stars is because sometimes my TV has a prompt when the wrong input is selected when it's first turned on and requires pressing an extra button to dismiss that dialog before it will response to the channel command. In case like that, Harmony doesn't seem to be able to handle it properly by sending an extra key stroke after TV has been turned on and before switching channel - it will just got stuck in the middle of the command sequence.

Okay. These things are great. We have them in front of every TV. I got tired of trying to find remotes. We had Xbox remotes. TV remotes. Cable Remotes. Remotes in the couch cushions. I still can't find an appleTV remote. But we've always got our phones with us. So that's how we use these. The setup curve is pretty steep but once you're done, you're good. It's not impossible and sometimes, seems a little overwhelming. But it's doable. This is the basic hub that interfaces with all your IR devices. Now the only thing I have to worry about when it comes to remotes is making sure the batteries don't corrode when they're left in the drawer.

I wanted to reduce the number of remotes used and tie it into my home automation system. Works with the Amazon Echo Dot and the set up is straight forward. I am using a Samsung Tab A and the Harmony App to control activities and devices. The app can be a bit laggy at times, but when it's running smoothly the button to device response is snappy.

Integrated it into my alexa/smartthings system. Extremely complex setup, and insanely slow due to it's cloud only interface. Once setup it works okay 9 out of 10 times, but when it goofs it is REAL pain to get it back to working.

I have two rooms with speakers interconnected by an audio cable and IR repeater. Each room has a receiver. One has a connected TV. The Harmony allows me orchestrate switching the devices from one hand device (my cell phone) instead of multiple. Device worked out of the box and was easy to set up. I liked the fact that although my equipment was turn of century, I didnt run into any problems. The Harmony found the device and helped me get the switching set up.

Initial setup is easy. The IR blaster that it comes with is great. It's not in direct line of sight of my TV but still somehow has no problem controlling the TV. Integration with Amazon Alexa could be much better. I can turn on/off all entertainment system components, but other controls are more difficult. When I tell it to turn the volume down by 1 it may turn volume down anywhere between 1 and 5. When I tell it to turn volume up by 5 it may only turn it up by 4. It's fairly inconsistent and that has made programming some activities difficult. I've taken to using Anymote installed on my iPad to do certain other activities. They seem to cover for each other's weaknesses. Setting up voice commands with Alexa can be challenging. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the Harmony App in order to get things to sync correctly. The smart light and blinds integration is very nice. One click of a button on the app and all my lights will dim and all the blinds close. I would definitely recommend it to a friend, but there are a few little things to watch out for.

Hub works great, app interface is limiting

The hub works with all the devices I've tried. Setup was mostly painless, but configuring all your activities through the app leads things to be desired. I honestly preferred the old harmony software, where you could easily create complex activities. If you have a smart tv or device that you will have to navigate any menus etc. to do your desired activity, be prepared for a ton of steps. It was about 60 taps on the phone to create a netflix activity on my smart tv because there's no discrete command. The app isn't the most responsive, but it does work. Hopefully they'll improve it in the future. Alexa integration works well enough too, as all my voice commands and favorites work. Build everything in Harmony first, then link alexa. If you have to update it, you'll need to sync and rediscover from alexa. Google Home integration is a little more complicated, and you definitely want to perfect everything before linking, as the refresh process requires an unlink, and a re-link which took several tries to successfully complete.

I have been a long time Logitech Harmony remote user. I have been ignoring the hub for some time now as I didn't think I needed/wanted one. But it was on sale during the holidays, and I had some time off so I figured I would play around with the hub. I have my home theater equipment in a cabinet and have been using an IR repeater with an old Harmony One IR remote. The Harmony hub is a MUCH better solution. I really like the Harmony smartphone app (I use the iPhone version). I like that I can setup the hub from my smartphone without having to get out my laptop to program the remote. The best of all is the integration with Alexa. High wife approval factor being able to say "Alexa, turn on the TV" and the Harmony hub turns on the TV, the receiver, the Comcast box, and sets the TV and receiver to the correct inputs. She likes being able to say "Alexa, turn on apple tv" and have a similar result (everything gets switched automatically). I really think the hub combined with the Amazon Alexa (we use the Dot) is an unbeatable combination.

I recently ditched a bedroom cable box in favor of using a Roku. That means 3 remotes-TV, Roku and soundbar. I did my research and everything lead me to a Harmony device. The Harmony Hub allows me to have use nothing but my phone. Full disclosure, I still prefer to use the Roku remote over the Harmony App but this solved my needs perfectly and on a budget. After set up, I can use an Echo Device to turn on my Roku player or the Harmony App. It powers the Roku, TV and soundbar on/off all in sequence. The app has a sleep timer built in to the main menu so you don't even need to dig into the TV's remote for that. For a bedroom, room where you're not interacting much with remotes, or on a budget, this is an outstanding choice. I personally prefer using a remote opposed to the app but I suppose that's because I'm used to remotes. Setup was not completely flawless but it wasn't difficult by any means. I'd take .5 off my 5 star review for the less than smooth setup if I were being extremely picky. Still the device does what it's supposed to do and the Alexa Skills are a nice touch. Despite the negative reviews of the skills themselves, they do actually work.

The hub is a little black box. Hub connects to wifi to communicate with your phone and Harmony home base. As a prior user of Harmony remotes, the hub imported all my equipment and activities easily. I initially experienced less than desirable performance. Through trial and error that deleting then reinstalling a couple pieces of equipment helped. I also taught the hub some specific commands directly from the equipment's native remote. Finally, I experimented with several positions for the hub. I found a position centrally located and to the front edge on the equipment rack produced the best result. Keep your old remote(s) around, run down batteries in your phone or a loss of wifi renders hub useless. I am now satisfied with hub's performance. But the experience was not as good as my old Harmony remote.

I was a little skeptical at first. But when I actually purchased my new harmony hub I was so impressed with how easy it was to use with all my devices not only was it easy I was able to make it work with my Amazon echo which was unbelievable. Now I can control my TV all my shows anything I'm gonna do with my radio stations in my DVR and I PlayStation was just a voice to my harmony hub. Great product !

Too often electronics promise more than they deliver. This is not the case here. The harmony hub can do so much more than I'm asking of it now, but it does what I ask it every time. I love being able to walk into a room and say "Alexa, tell harmony hub to turn on the TV" and the tv, lights, and cable box all turn on. I think Harmony may be on the verge on the one controller that brings all your electronics together.

I was a little hesitant, haven’t had great success with past harmony remotes. This one has been wonderful. Got for my parents for Christmas and help set up. Not only did it pair to their newer equipment but fully controls their 25 year old stereo equipment. The auto connect doesn’t work great but adding devices individually is a breeze. Just put in brand and model info it handles the rest. You can even set favorites so a command like “watch TV” will turn on sound at and TV and set inputs. “Play Music” will turn on stereo and CD player and start playing. It is compatible with Alexa, so just teach Alexa the skill and she can activate favorites or basic commands alike. PROS Great Connectivity Intuitive setup Hubs IR blast is powerful Alexa Compatible CONS Hub is limited to 8 devices Virtual Remote on phone app is delayed with commands
