Get rid of all your remotes and use your old Iphone you probably have laying around, works awesome, works great on ipad too, function panel is the same for every device, makes using simple, you can hook your lights up too, buy the Phillips hue and control them when you start a movie. I have other Harmony remotes and got rid of them all

used to control home IR devices with iphone. setup was pretty simple, and it worked right away, but it's a bit unintuitive as to how to use the app, and navigate settings... but it definitely did the job

I’m a tech person and felt this product worked / continues to work perfect for me. I opted for this one without the remote as I tend to use my phone as the remote (lost my Apple TV remote and started using my phone and just have come into that habit). Having it set up through my phone def has pros and cons.
Ease of Use: without a physical remote, you have to take time and have patience when setting up an app as the remote. I had to clear and restart a few times because after setting one up, I would find out I wanted to have it do something a little different (I.e., volume auto set at certain level when turning on certain devices). Ease of use comes down to whether you enjoy tech things like this. I love it so ease of use is great for me. For people who just want easy install and easy controls without fuss, I would opt for the package with the physical remote.
Pros with no physical remote: once you set up the rules/tasks/single click commands, and take your time doing it, it’s great to be away and if someone at the house is having an issue, I can control whatever I like from my desk at work.
Cons: sometimes you just want the easy remote. Going into a phone can be as it sounds but if I needed to find a con, that would be it.
Overall, this product ties in and connects very well and easily to anything I have tried to connect it to. I would definitely purchase this one again, sans remote, as it not only saves a little more money, but I enjoy the tech typing fun on setting things up. My iPad has actually become my control center for everything, wherever I am.

Bought this after upgrading my galaxy s6 edge to the Galaxy S8+. (THE s6 edge had a built in IR blaster and the s8 doesnt). This allows me to use my smart phone and tablet as a universal remote to control my entire media center and projector. Works excellent for all my devices including fire tv.

I have an older handheld Harmony remote, so this just synched and grabbed how the other was set up, I had to do very little programming. I only had to sync it to the ECHO DOT. It's great, I tell Alexa to turn on/off my TV, ROKU and Apple TV. So much easier than pushing all those darn buttons.

We bought the hub to use in conjunction with our dot to control the media in our rec room. We like the results, but it was very difficult to set up with the wireless joeys from Dishnetwork.

I own an old Harmony 1100 remote so I was familiar with the setup. The setup was easy, it took about 7 minutes to get it setup for Apple TV. The software is not the most logical in the layout but if it were just me at home, I could live with it but there are others living here also. The deal breaker for me was that when I went to turn up my receiver using the remote it was EXTREMELY LAGGY! It lagged so far behind what I had pushed that I found the receiver getting extremely loud because it continued to turn it self up from where I had slide the volume up. Kind of hard to explain but I did not like that at all. Plus sometimes it would turn the correct thing on, sometimes it wouldn’t and it did not appear to be as granular at adjusting the settings as the Harmony 1100 software is.
Anyway, it’s going back and I’m going to buy the Harmony 950 when/if it ever comes back in stock which I’m sure it will if/when this COVID-19 finally gets knocked out

The Harmony remotes provide a huge library of devices, a decent process for setup and great integration and function once set up. The hub provides essentially the same experience as the physical remotes except with your smart device replacing a physical device. Functions as represented. But the aesthetics of the graphics could be better; pretty bland. Otherwise a great product. Installed here in a family room, and controls the TV, Blu-Ray, the attached sound bar, the Sonos unit in that room for music and Apple TV attached to the TV. All function as expected from the one remote, and each family member can control from any of their smart devices. Will be installing a second unit in our theater room.

Works perfectly ! Easy setup ! Makes watching television easy. Harmony, turn on the TV. Harmony, increase the volume. Harmony, turn the channel to 209. Harmony, start the FireTV. Harmony is such a convenience; it makes TV watching easy peasy! Buy it. Make your life easier.

I've had Harmony remotes for close to 15 years. I have always been impressed with the performance. The Harmony hub takes it to a new level of control and integration. The flexibility and versatility is its strongest aspect. There is almost no limitation on setting up and controlling your entertainment system. When you add Amazon Echo, Nest thermostat and Hue lighting into the mix, you get a voice controlled home enviro-tainment system. The only drawback at this point is that the Echo can only deal with one at this time. That is an Echo limitation, not the Harmony Hub. Anyone with tech in their veins should have a Harmony.

I mainly bought this so I could control my Playstation 4 with my Harmony One remote. Although it may not turn on my ps4, you have to turn it on via ps4 controller, it still works great. It does put it into sleep when you press the off button which is pretty cool, I wasn't expecting that.

This takes a little bit of work and some people might need to do a bit of Googling to get the set up right as to how you want it. Especially when pairing with Amazon Alexa and making sure that Alexa does all functions properly. In my opinion, the computer app is more advanced than the mobile app, so if you find that you can't set up some custom functions in mobile, try out the computer app.

I have had harmony remotes before and like those, this is pretty good. They try to make set up as easy as possible and mostly succeed. I use this with Alexa to control my Samsung TV and Soundbar plus my Xfinity DVR. From Alexa, it can be a bit hit or miss at times but from the Harmony App, it works reliably.

Got it to control old samsung tv via Google home and SmartThings . Programming tricky since all harmony does is sequences multiple IR commands together to simulate human pushing same button sequence to control tv/cable/receiver devices. Timing is key since each device takes different time to turn on. Also there's no way harmony already knows if a device is on or TV is in HDMI mode. Harmony just blindly sends memorized IR command sequences. Changing tv channel via Google home is a mouthful of robotic talk; much faster to just pickup the tv remote. Maybe better off just buying a smart tv.

Setup was a bit of a bear, but once we got through that, the hub works effortlessly. Connecting to google was very easy, although for full functionality be sure you enable both Harmony skills. My kids love changing the channel with a yell to google , and I love that I can program it to shut off automatically at bedtime, or pause when I need their attention. Using our mobile devices as universal remotes is so great. I love not having half a dozen remotes! Why didn't I get one sooner?!

I've used many prior types of products like this (URC MX800/850 with repeater), but the ability to get latest remote codes from the cloud distinguishes this from those. Its incredibly easy to setup, use.

I had an in-home advisor come by to help integrate some of my smart home features including my televisions. The advisor was terrific and one recommendation was to add the Harmony hub so that Alexa could control my televisions. Works great!
