Customers are saying

Customers love the ease of use, lightweight design, and high quality of the K380 TKL Bluetooth keyboard. Many appreciate its compact size, compatibility with multiple devices, and long battery life. Positive feedback also highlights the attractive color options and sleek design. While some minor issues with key feel and the lack of a caps lock indicator were noted, these were less frequent concerns.

Hi Candy, Very sorry to hear that you couldn't get the K380 to work with your iPad Pro. Since you're already paired with your iPad, press and hold the fn+l for 3 seconds. This will manually select the iOS and iPadOS to use with your K380. For more troubleshooting FAQs, here's a link to the product support page for the K380 for Mac:  https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050669774-FAQ-Stub-K380-Multi-Device-Bluetooth-Keyboard-for-Mac. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is going well. Best Regards, Richard from Logitech

My son is an Apple fanatic and was able to pair this keyboard to both his iPhone and iPad. He tried to pair to his Apple TV but wasn’t able to. The pairing process is simple, but the directions don’t tell you that after you receive and enter the pairing code you need to press Enter on the keyboard - very important step! Once paired the keyboard is easy to use. My son uses with his iPad similarly to a laptop. There have been a couple instances where he let the keyboard fall off his bed and it’s taken a couple rough landings but still works perfectly fine. This is actually a pretty convenient device and my husband now wants one after seeing my son use it to send a text. Definitely useful!

Minimalist keyboard especially for Apple devices

(As part of the Best Buy Tech Insider Network program, I was provided a Logitech K380 for Mac unit in exchange for an honest review.) Logitech released this variant of their existing K380 keyboard with a tweaked layout specialized for Apple Mac computers (it also works well for iOS and iPadOS mobile devices). One of the key features of both this and the general K380 model is the multi-device support, which allows the easy toggling between up to 3 different devices that the keyboard can be bound to via Bluetooth. Binding is very easy to do, and I found the Bluetooth connection to be completely stable. Although Logitech aims this keyboard particularly at Mac users, iPhones and iPads also work great. Beyond that, I tested and confirmed the K380 for Mac also works reasonably well with Windows PC's - though beware, the relative positions of the Alt (Opt) and Windows (Cmd) keys are flipped from the standard PC layout. (Even the Logi Options software doesn't allow switching the functions of these keys, though it allows customization of some of the function keys. Unlike the standard K380, the keys are also not dual-labeled with both functions.) If you would primarily use this with Apple devices, rest assured you could still use it with a PC or Android device in a pinch; but otherwise you might prefer the standard K380. They keyboard itself is quite compact. It would definitely appeal to people that enjoy a clean (even spartan) desk. Alternately, its size makes it a great candidate to keep off to the side of a desk, ready to use with virtually any secondary device (phone, tablet, or laptop) for heavier typing. Unfortunately, the compact size is requiring some adjustment for me. It all feels slightly more cramped than most keyboards I'm used to - the keys don't seem smaller, but it does seem the pitch between keys is slightly less. It may only be around 1mm less intra-key spacing, but it's noticeable to me. My final verdict is that the K380 is a decent keyboard for the price, particularly if it's a supplemental keyboard to use with more than one phone or tablet as an alternative to the on-screen keyboard for writing longer pieces. If the minimalistic look appeals to you (and you're not worried about adjusting to a layout that might be slightly smaller), it can also serve as a nice primary keyboard. This Mac-specific edition is most appealing for using with Apple products. It does work with other brands of devices pretty well, too, though I think it would be a good improvement to add further customizability for this model to the Logi Options software on Windows.

Hello Marie! I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the K380 for Mac! As long as your MacBook has Bluetooth and is running macOS 10.15 or later it should connect. Make sure your keyboard is on by flipping the switch on the left side of the keyboard. Then you'll want to push and hold the white "1" button on the very top row of keys until it starts to flash. Then you'll want to go into your MacBook Air and click the little Apple logo in the upper left hand corner. Then click on System Preferences - Bluetooth. Lastly you'll want to click on K380 in the Bluetooth menu. It may also be called Logitech Keyboard. If you did all of those steps, I would recommend reaching out to our support team here https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000621393 as you may have a defective keyboard. Thank you for this feedback! I will be passing that along. - Maggie from Logitech

The K380 is a relatively small bluetooth keyboard that made me believe that there wouldn't be much to it, with limited abilities. I was pleasantly surprised as this is a very functional keyboard with good key size and travel. I wrote several letters using this and an iPad it accomplished them quickly with few errors. Although it alludes to being Mac-only, I was able to pair this via Bluetooth to many other devices, including my TV! If you need a good, somewhat small Bluetooth keyboard, this is the one to get! Good job Logitech!

The Logitech - K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Scissor Keyboard for Mac is a nice attractive way to use a full size yet compact portable keyboard on the go or at home. It has a sculpted ergonomic strain reducing scissor key layout and design that is comfortable, quiet and responsive. A long press on one of three keys switches sync of the keyboard to one of three Apple devices (iPhone, iPad or iMac), all available without reinstalling. It has a full complement of 12 standard function or special function keys. I do wish it worked with Apple TV.

The Logitech K380 for Mac is a Bluetooth keyboard that can be paired to 3 seperate devices with hard keys to choose each device. This allows you to use the keyboard with all 3 devices at the same time switching between them with a click of a key. I paired this with my I pad, android tablet and Nvidia sheild TV without any difficulty and could switch easily between each. The volume buttons on the keyboard work with all devices. You can pair this with a windows computer also but there are no dedicated windows keys. The range seems to be around 30 feet max. The keyboard is off white to match Apple motif. The build quality is good and there is not a lot a flex. The key travel is good for general purpose typing. The key travel is short but is comparable to most keyboards of this type. The Logitech "Scissor Keys" have a good feel to them. There are arrow keys for navigation. This model does not have a track pad. There are other colors available to match your apple device. For the price this is a great way to add a keyboard to your Ipad or Ipad pro.

Fantastic! Couldn't wait for this one to show up. So easy to pair with my phone. It can connect up to 3 different devices, really fantastic! Connected it to my iPhone, started sending emails just like from the Mac laptop. This keyboard will fit in my purse, the laptop not so much. Love it!

I dont own an iphone BUT I do own a late Macbook 13 Pro for Logic and an Ipad Pro 12 inch for 3d design. I have been using this keyboard on both machines and the latency between the hand off to the other machine is very low and acceptable I would say. Build quality seems good. The keyboard is flexible only because its made from plastic. Doesnt feel premium but I doubt that is what they were going for. It does its job well.

Loving this keyboard so far. Gave four stars instead of 5 just because it’s bit on the smaller side, and can take some getting used to in the beginning. But it’s very easy to set up, and I like that it can easily switch between devices. Also don’t be deterred that it says “for Mac”, I currently have it connected to my PC with absolutely no issues. Also, the pink color is much more muted in real life, almost a mauve instead of true millennial-pink (a plus in my book, but I know it will not be a selling point for everyone).

This keyboard is incredible. Not only is it super cute, but it's great quality and the keys are relatively silent. It's not too heavy so it's easy to carry around. For those wondering, the Mac version of this keyboard can still connect and type on non-apple products

    Wonderful keyboard, squeaky keys :(

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I loved this keyboard when I first got it 2 weeks ago — the bluetooth connectivity is amazing, the circular keys I got used to typing with after a day (switched over from magic keyboard), and the compact size isn't too much of an issue for me, as I'm used to the magic keyboard. I honestly would've given this a 4 or 5 star review, except through 2 weeks worth of use, the delete button and the space bar are incredibly squeaky now. Whenever I press them, I get this annoying squeak sound that I probably wouldn't mind so much except the space bar is kind of essential for typing and so the squeak happens like every other ms pretty much. Given the short amount of time I've had this keyboard, I'm extremely disappointed in this hardware flaw :(

Hi annie, thank you for your feedback! Your K380 should not be making any squeaking sounds on the keys. Maybe try brushing away any debris around the keys, or pressing them a few good times to see if they break in and break free of obstruction. It is backed with a 1-year limited hardware warranty.
