We use this to control laptop/chrome-book while cabled to TV. It's a little clunky size-wise as a remote but beats having to get up and move cursor around on a laptop attached to TV to watch Hulu etc. Wish it had a second USB receiver to leave a second one plugged into our Blu-ray player which has a Netflix app. For the price on sale (19.99) it's worth it.

Nice keyboard and touchpad. Nice range on my HTPC. The software requited to setup the keyboard was a pain because it would not find the keyboard. Had to spend a fair amount of time on google reading the number of post from others that have had the same problem. I sounds like Logitech has had a software issue for a while and has failed to correct the problem.

Relatively inexpensive keyboard, wireless, great size. So much better than clicking multiple times on my tv remote. And the track pad mouse is over to the right instead of directly under the space bar - I don't keep accidentally hitting the mouse! Would definitely recommend using this keyboard.

I got this because a friend had it and I loved it after I used it. I read some reviews that said that the range on it was not that great, but whenever I use it I am at least 10 feet away from the wireless dongle and I never have any connection problems. The left click button on the top left corner is absolutely amazing. A must have for anyone who wants a good wireless keyboard for a htpc or just to watch movies from the couch.

Only wish this keyboard had built in lighting. I use it for controling my PC from the couch and watching it on the 60" flat screen. The mini remote controls with qwerty keyboards are to small for me where as this keyboard is excellent and no lag in response. I sit about 20 feet from the PC and the TV. Now add lighting and it will be perfect.

I have an old pc hooked to my tv for netflix, YouTube etc. It has a range over 20 feet, the batteries have lasted over a year with daily use. It is great because the trackpad eliminates the need for a mouse. I just purchased two more one fir my son and one fir my desktop computer.

It connected quickly and easily. Mouse pad is fairly sensitive and responds well. I like it.

Am using this Logitech K400r nearly 6 months with my HP Laptop and posted review earlier. Now I ordered one more to use with my Samsung Smart TV. It was on Deal on BestBuy site and I have $5 gift certificate. Didn't even think a minute and ordered this one. After ordering, I noticed the product image and figured it's K400 not K400r model. K400r is next version and has bit different key layout. Also the Edge swipe gesture on Windows 8 will work on K400r only. But yesterday I opened the package and it was K400r. Voila! Connected immediately to Samsung UN50HU8550 4K Smart TV. It got detected immediately and able to use without any hustle. It works great. I used Samsung Standard Remote, Smart Remote, Motion/Gesture control with Samsung TV Camera. But this is the best among all. Right click on track pad will bring Smart hub control which I found after playing with the keyboard. With track/mouse pad I can control the cursor, select the apps, search for videos, use web browser. Can't type inside apps like YouTube, Netflix. However can use arrow keys and select letters to type. I wish it should have Bluetooth option. Anyways USB Dongle is fine as TV has 3 USB Ports.

I wanted a wireless keyboard and cursor control with a single device for my HTPC for configuration and setup. Additionally if I want to use as traditional pc then this works well. The touch pad is a little too sensitive to touch so it does selection/click when I didn't expect. It might be just me but that is why I didn't give a 5 star.

This is a wonderful keyboard. I use it to control my Dance Dance Revolution arcade cabinet PC. It's small and lightweight, and a breeze to use while standing with it. The mouse works well with your right thumb and left clicking with your left thumb in the top left corner of the keyboard is very intuitive. It's aesthetically pleasing and blends in well with my arcade cabinet. I don't do much typing on it, but when I do it's hunt/peck style since it's just resting on my forearm when being used. The keys are spread apart perfectly for this style of typing. The right shift key is in a funky spot/shape, I wouldn't use this as a full-time keyboard though. Would buy again.

When I do tech work on point of sale systems with limited USB ports, this keyboard/trackpad combo is a godsend! It's far worth paying a little extra to get this one vs the cheapo off brand versions. I haven't tried the Microsoft version of this, however I bet it's fairly good as well. Logitech consistently makes good keyboards and mice -- occasionally you get a bunk one but overall they're great quality.

I love this keyboard. I have connected my laptop to my TV using HDMI. I have connected this keyboard to the laptop. I just sit on my couch and surf internet, watch video, play music. Work perfect from long range as well. 1 point less only because the touchpad (mousepad) is a little less sensitive. Remaining everything is perfect

I needed a basic keyboard for controlling my presentation computer from afar, and this does just that. The small size makes it very portable, as well as non-obtrusive while working, or put away when done. Granted, typing on this smaller keyboard is not the same as on a regular full size equivalent, but if I needed that, I wouldn't have bought this. This one is perfect for the occasional one hand typing I need to do, and if you have small enough hands, even two hand typing. I bought the black model because it looks more elegant and gives the impression of higher quality as opposed to the white one that to my taste, just looked kinda meh! The only true thing I didn't like, is that the keyboard isn't all black, top to bottom. It just doesn't look as good as if it was all black, in my opinion. But as long as it doesn't affect performance, no big deal. It isn't a bluetooth device, so make sure to have an available USB port for the IR dongle.

It works for what you need it to it a great keyboard with a track pad and it small too

If you are looking for a long range wireless keyboard for a smart TV or a presentation computer, then this might be what you are looking for. The keyboard is quick and responsive. It also sports an on/off switch to prolong battery life. I like the key shapes...I like the feel...it has a good texture and design. As far as the rest of the design goes the underside is white and the plastic there does not 'feel' extremely rugged. It is a light weight keyboard but I don't know how many careless drops on hard surfaces it could survive. It is a bit expensive for me to be casual about where I place it.

At $20...even 24.99 u simply cannot hope for anything better - this thing has a clear wireless signal sent to a little usb stick and works perfectly from even 20 feet away! It has a great mouse pad on the right, and even the right mouse button is duplicated as a standard round button on the top left corner of this keyboard so u can "gamepad" style control ur pc. Great layout and comfortable to use.

Great keyboard, fantastic battery life and it's built tough. The only things keeping it from a 5 star are the inability to disable tap to click permanently (you can disable it but it turns back on every time the keyboard turns on/off) and some keys can be a little stiff in action. For the price it can't be beat.
