Looked easy enough to use, but it wasn't. Either it was a dud, or 3 sets of batteries couldn't fix the problem. Either way, it was returned the next day

I have followed all of the instructions but have not been able to have the software operate on my computer and therefore the keyboard is useless.

    Cheap doesn’t mean bad

You really can’t go wrong with a Logitech keyboard, you know it will work and last a long time. While this keyboard may not be the best quality, the K400 gets the job done. For the price, you will be hard pressed finding a like keyboard with delivers this reliability. The keys feel mushy, in part due to the membrane. The trackpad is a nice touch and is accurate enough. I use the keyboard for a media center PC, I am able to control it accurately and easily. The battery lasts a decent amount of time, so you don’t have to change it all that too often. If you are looking for a no-frills cheap keyboard, this would be the one

    Favorite keyboard since 1990

I was about to buy this exact model when my brother and mother gave me the same model. As my brother buys his keyboards from Best Buy, I know that this is where it came from. I chose this keyboard for various reasons. I tried it in store on the display when it was available. The little right shift key does not bother me and I type over 60 words a minute. I have been known to literally wear out keyboards. Within a month to three months (this keyboard is not following the usual pattern - see below), my letters usually wear off the keys and I have grooves where my thumb hits the spacebar and my fore fingers hit the rfuj keys. Sometimes my other vowels have the grooves too. I've had this computer keyboard for about six months now and I have not worn it out, nor do I have missing letters or those telltale grooves in the keys. I do have areas on the keyboard where things are smoothed, but there are no grooves. The shift key would drive some people bonkers but it just takes a little to get used to. After you are used to it, you should have no issue. Most smaller keyboards are actually built with these smaller shift keys. If you want a full size shift key on the right, buy a full size keyboard. If you're willing to get used to the smaller shift key, then this should be a good keyboard. Out of all the keyboards I've had, this is the one I've had the least problems with that has held up the best. I also haven't had to change batteries yet and I'm the world's worst with turning it off! I tell everyone, if you're going to buy a keyboard, buy it in person and try out the store display where you are buying it, before you buy it... and there are some good reasons for it!

    Great Keyboard for Smart TV

Got this for my Smart TV. The remote I got with the TV is very basic and not user friendly when surfing the internet. So I saw this and thought I’d give it a try. Works great and the built in touch pad was the main reason I wanted this. I sit on my couch, use the keyboard and touch pad and works like a charm. For the price this thing works great, hooked right up and was working within a minute.

    Nice lightweight keyboard

We bought this keyboard as a replacement for an older Logitech wireless. This one is super lightweight compared to older models, and much smaller. And, most importantly, it has the built in touch pad, making it great for computers hooked up to TV's (no need to keep a mouse laying around).

I use this for my laptop when it's plugged in at home. It's slim, and has a great battery life. It does everything I need it to. Tried it on my HTPC and Amazon FireTV and it works great for both as well.

    Perfect for HTPC

This is a perfect companion for a home theater PC. I have gone through several different keyboard/mouse configurations including those mini rii combos that are a mini version of this, but the range on those is terrible. Anyway, Ive been waiting for 5 years or so for a solid feeling sleek wireless keyboard/trackpad combo unit. This works great.. it feels nice, the touchpad is in a good location, 2 finger scrolling works. The only thing missing is backlighting on the keys, but Ill take the better battery life and call it good. Dont bother with keyyboard/trackpad apps for andoird/ios, or the mini Rii controller, its not worth the hassle.

Bought for wifes HTPC, ... working fairly well..

Wifes seating position is about 10 feet from her HTPC. I have other logitech unity devices at my HTPC and they are working great. This one seems to pick up a little interference, but that may be more specific to it's location and proximity to other devices... Adding a USB extension to get it away from the PC/monitor, etc seems to resolve the problem. Knock one star off for the fact that it doesn't come with a USB extension. (Some of the Logitech Keyboard/Mouse wireless combos do, ... probably for this reason...) With USB extension, it's working great.

I cannot express how much I love this keyboard/mouse combo. Wireless, but the range is extraordinarily good! I haven't even used the signal range extension that comes with it! It's very responsive and easy to install. It is extremely light and compact, so you can carry it around easily and it doesn't take up much space. The mouse pad is also a very convenient part, especially in the living room couch when connecting the laptop to the TV!

    Works great with HTPC

I use this keyboard with a dedicated PC connected to my TV. The touch pad works well and I really like the ability to scroll the screen by using two fingers on the touch pad. I use the "sleep" button on the keyboard to put the PC to sleep; pressing any key wakes the computer up with no problem. The range is quite good, at least 20 feet. I did have some problem initially with noise from other devices (the computer, a cable modem, a wireless router, and a cell phone network extender) located close to the USB wireless unit interfering with communications with the keyboard. I fixed this problem by using a 3 ft USB extension cable to place the wireless unit close to the TV (which does not seem to interfere) and away from the other devices. I have been happy with the Logitech wireless keyboards and mice that I have used with my three other computers for a number of years. I was happy to find this one by Logitech that fit my needs for controlling the home theater PC from the couch.
