    Okay but not great

Got this keyboard to be able to use my PC from my bed/couch and to be able to open PC games to be played with a controller. It works for this purpose, but I could not imagine trying to use my PC with this thing for more than 5 minute spurts. The keys are not good enough to play any games with, that's for sure. The trackpad is poor at best. It's very inaccurate, and the least they could do is use a better material than the rough plastic that it's fitted with. Other than it being very cheap at the time of my purchase ($10) it has no real great features other than having a quite strong wireless bluetooth connection that I've had no issues with thus far. 3/5, buy a better wireless keyboard if you have the money for it.

Makes using my plex media manager a snap. Stores upright and out of the way. Been on the supplied batteries for months. I got the white as it seemed easier for hunter peck typists to use the keyboard in a dim room.

    Bad key placement

    Posted .

As a touch typer, key placement is everything. Unfortunately, the right shift key is inconveniently placed by the arrow key and very small which makes touch typing extremely difficult. Another issue I have is with the touch pad. It goes from being very sensitive to not sensitive at all to highlighting a whole webpage while I'm just trying to scroll through it. I've tried adjusting it on my computer and it still hasn't worked the way I want it to. For the price though, it is a good investment if you don't mind having to stop every now and again to get your finger placement correct.

Great little keyboard for Smart TV

I bought this small integrated keyboard to surf the net on my new Samsung E5300 smart TV. It works great! On a whim I "paired" it with the "unifying receiver" on my laptop. Guess what???...it no longer worked with the original receiver in the TV. Logitech promotes the heck out of these "unifying" receivers, but they don't tell us they will only work with one device at a time. Who knew??! After much frustration and an e-mail to Logitech support I was able to get the k400 paired with the original receiver again, but it was not fun. Only pair if you are going to keep both devices on the same receiver!

Great keyboard for HTPC but need illumination

    Posted .

I took one star off only because it is not illuminated keyboard. I use it for Home Theater setup and it works perfect. But when there is dim or no light in the Theater, I would like to see keys. Some LED backlight would help a lot. Battery life is great. Already 6 month passed and it is working while ON switch is always ON. This is great keyboard for HTPC setup, but I think it also would be great for regular use. PageDown/Up/End/Home are via Fn Key which is not a problem if you got used to Laptop keyboards. It is very light. Better build quality then some Logitech high end keyboards.

    Good keyboard, worth the buy.

This keyboard has been a great buy for me. I recently bought a tv, so connecting this to my computer and my computer to my tv has been awesome. i can now sit in bed and do everything via my tv, instead of having to sit at my desk and do everything that way. the keyboard is great, just a few minor flaws. the range of the wireless gets messed up when something (usually my leg) gets in the way. some of the buttons (shift, arrow keys, backspace) are spaced differently than what i am used to. the mouse pad is pretty responsive, and the left click button in the upper left corner is aa good edition.

Works Great with my Samsung 46" TV

I had purchased a Samsung wireless keyboard which did not work with this TV...turns out this TV is not Bluetooth capable. When I returned it the customer service guy recommended this Logitech keyboard instead. I exchanged the Samsung keyboard but wasn't convinced. But, he was right. This keyboard was immediately recognized by the Samsung TV and it works seamlessly when using the web browser. Very cool. I love it and it costs less than the Samsung keyboard which didn't work.

    excellent keyboard for couch potatoes

I'm using this while sitting on the couch, controlling the pc that is attached to my big screen tv. This eliminates the hassle of using a wireless mouse while sitting on a couch. touchpad is quite sensitive and takes a bit to get used to it. the touchpad can/should be larger. For desktop use I would still stick with separate keyboard and mouse.

    Easy to Use, Nice Trackpad

My son has one of these and recommended it. After seeing him fly through using it to his TV-connected PC, I jumped on this for $24.99. Trivial to setup. Had no need for the unifying/extended range USB dongle. The included smaller one worked fine. This is used to control a PC connected to a 46" HDTV, and works great. The smaller size fits the lap much easier than the other, larger Logitech wireless k/b I've been using, and not having to use a separate mouse is a plus. I'm not a fan of trackpads, but this is one is very sensitive and responsive. I would buy this again and can recommend it.

    Better performance than expected

Second 2.4 ghz KB to try in my living room. Previously we were using an Adesso WKB 3000U that had significant issues with range and dropping typed characters. The Adesso had a scroll wheel where the logitech does not. But the exceptional performance of the logitech K400 and the touchpad make this an outstanding home theater KB.

I have had this keyboard for almost a year now and I really like using it with my Samsung Smart TV. It is so much easier than trying to use the remote to access the web on the smart tv.

    Good add on for laptop

I use a laptop as my entertainment hub and using this keyboard as remote. I no longer use a mouse so the built in track mouse is the main reason I bought this model. Because of it's small size it can be a bit clumsy to hold on to if using for anything more than simple commands

    Lasts forever!

I have had this keyboard for several years now and it is still working. I've taken this with me to 3 different countries and it has survived without a problem. I like this one better than the K400 Plus, the gray one, don't get that one. The keys on the Plus model are harder to use. This is perfect if you have your computer hooked up to your tv and you want to lie in bed or sit on the couch. This is not a keyboard for writing college essays or doing a lot of typing. Not that you can't do it, but it is a smaller keyboard. I'm lying in bed right now and typing this review without any issues. I just bought another one because I hooked up a second computer to my tv and got tired of switching the wireless dongle between computers. This thing will last you probably forever, and at 20 bucks it's a great deal. Again, don't get the gray K400 Plus model, this one is easier to use. Like others have reported, this does have connection issues if you are too far from your dongle, or there's things in the way between it and the keyboard. I just use a USB extension cable so that I can place the dongle in the perfect spot so the keyboard works perfectly.

I have a desk top pc connected to my 60 inch TV. I am tethered to the tv when gaming, but wanted something to just browse and control the computer when not gaming. Well i found the perfect solution in this product. In fact I'm using it to right this review. I'm sitting about 10 feet away and I'm using the laptop adapter in a front facing usb port. WORKS GREAT.. Plan on getting this for my fathers entertainment pc as well

I do not have anything bad to say about this keyboard and mouse pad combo. I use it for my HTPC, and it works fantastic. Only possible problem might be that the keys do not light up, so if you cant type without looking at the keys you may find this an issue if you use this for your HTPC.
