Customers frequently mention the keyboard's high quality, quiet keys, and ease of use. Many appreciate its compact size, comfortable key feel, and long battery life. Full Size keyboard in compact form.

The K585 Keyboard is light in weight and smaller than the full-sized standard keyboard. This makes it perfect for travel. It takes 2 AAA batteries (included) with a unifying receiver (USB-A). Both are situated in the back of the keyboard underneath the section that holds other devices.
I have a Logitech Mouse with a Unifying Receiver already, so it was just a simple click to connect the keyboard to that. The K585 Keyboard connected very easily. It can be connected either by Unifying Receiver or Bluetooth, thereby allowing more than one device to be connected to it at one time.
As previously noted, the Logitech K585 mini keyboard is slim, yet has all the same keys as the standard full-sized keyboard. Just in a compact form. It will fit in a laptop case or briefcase.
The keys are quiet, well-spaced, and only require a light touch.
The Logitech K585 Mini Keyboard had 2 dedicated keys for connecting Bluetooth devices. I used my Android for the first connection via Bluetooth, which worked very well, and connected quickly. Unfortunately, for my Android, the slot is a little too deep for text messaging as the bottom messages are hidden from view.
I connected my Amazon Tablet to the second key via Bluetooth. That too was easy to connect and worked very well. I was able to use my tablet for computer programming tutorials while typing in the corresponding worksheet on my laptop. The Logitech K585 Mini Keyboard also connected effortlessly to my iPad.
There are only a couple of Cons:
- No backlight for the keyboard
- Height not adjustable. Could be a little higher or have adjustable feet.
All in all, a nice keyboard, easy to use, quiet, the keys are well spaced apart, and the smaller size is perfect for traveling. I recommend it for anyone that likes to use an external keyboard but doesn’t want the standard larger full-sized one.

Great for my work at home set up

I have a hybrid work setup so I spend two days in office and the other three working from home. I also often bring my laptop with me so I can work while on the go. Having a wireless keyboard and mouse is imperative because it makes things easier to take on the go and also reduces the clutter on my desk without having to worry about cords if I want to take things with me. I use a Logi M650 mouse already that has both USB and bluetooth capability. Before this keyboard, I was using an onn wireless keyboard/mouse setup that was a pain because the keyboard would often disconnected and took several minutes to reconnect. The K585 keyboard is so much better because it is quick and painless to set up and connect. Once on and connected, you simply open your bluetooth settings and pair it. It's capable with both windows and mac as well so you can switch between devices/operating systems. There's an fn key that would be either the windows logo key or the command key for mac. There is also a divet in the top so you can place your phone there while working. It's super quiet and is no louder than a laptop keyboard. I also love that it includes the number pad on the right while still being minimally sized and easy to take on the go. You can connect several devices but there are two preset buttons to easily switch between your main devices. If you do want to connect via USB, the grey part of the keyboard slides up where you'll find the USB connector and the two AAA batteries.It's also extremely lightweight, maybe a pound give or take so it's perfect for travel or on the go. This keyboard works great for my WFH setup and I love the logi brand as they pair so easily with my Thinkpad I use for work.

THIS… Is the Logitech K585 and it is to be simple… boring! Normally, that isn’t the best thing to read, but hear me out. What the K585 does, it does to perfection. This small-footprint keyboard has made its way into being my everyday around-the-house keyboard as it effortlessly switches between macOS and Windows 11. While it doesn’t have a backlit keyboard, let's get into what it excels at!
Setup
=================
Just like everything else, this is something that takes some getting used to and the setup process was somewhat finicky. That being said, once it was done it was done and in my opinion, wasn’t too bad, however, I can see how some would have trouble getting it started. I found the directions to be more than sufficient, especially once I read them for a second time to proof my original thoughts. I produced no curse words in this setup and on a scale from 1 to set up a new printer this is around a 2.
Battery Life
=================
The battery life is around 24 months and is non-rechargeable meaning that you will need to replace its two AAA (triple A) batteries. I, for obvious reasons, wasn't able to test this for 24 months but I can attest to Logitech smart software that auto-turns off the keyboard when not in use.
Form Factor
=================
This is right in that gray area where it is a full-sized keyboard but is super easy to move and transport. It has an on/off switch so you don’t have to worry about a mistype while it is in your bag and it is super light. It has a ‘cutout’ that looks like it should be for an apple pencil or the like but it is actually for your phone so you can power type. The keyboard has a full number pad and a full-size keyboard with function buttons that can be expanded upon in the Logitech software which is GREAT!
Build Quality
=================
This keyboard is made from a really nice plastic, firm with little flex. It is also lightweight coming in around that 1lb mark, weighing ~19oz. The Keyboard has a heel built into it that makes it tilt at about a 30 degree angle which I found to be a pretty good angle for typing on this while also holding my phone an appropriate degree.
H: 5.6”
W: 14.7”
D: 0.84”
Keys
=================
The keys are great and feel like a premium office keyboard. They have a reasonable amount of travel to satisfy but are in no way clicky. It is a quiet keyboard that I found extremely easy to type on, but with that being said, it could be used for light gaming. I am writing the review on this keyboard and it was super easy to adjust to. Perfect balance for productivity, while also being near silent.
Things I really enjoyed
=================
I wanted to take this time to point out that Logitech has saved me so many times already with this product, the ability to store the USB receiver in the battery compartment has kept me from losing it so many times - If I can lose something I will!
I also really enjoyed the spot for your phone to sit, even when I am not using it for the intended purpose of typing on my phone I really enjoy just having my phone there to see.
Improvements
=================
I think the writing is on the wall here for the biggest thing we would like to see, a backlit keyboard would make this almost a must-buy product more than it is. With the battery life already being ~24 months, I don’t see why we can’t get that introduced. I would be fine with a battery life that was half as much for a backlit keyboard.
Conclusion
=================
At a $50 MSRP, this keyboard is giving a pretty convincing value from a build quality and performance perspective. I really couldn’t find anything to dislike other than the backlit keyboard feature, however, this can be overlooked seeing how well it performs elsewhere. I really enjoyed that it came with batteries to turn it on as well as a spot for the phone to sit. I personally enjoy just using my phone to type but could see myself using this should I travel a lot for work or need to type something long form without my laptop. As always, Bestbuy has excellent customer service and return policy, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like… so why not test it out?!

If you're in the market for a good wireless keyboard, then look no further than this Logitech - K585 full sized wireless scissor keyboard for windows. It's a full sized keyboard, with number pad, that is still nice and compact. The layout is very smart with most keys being normally sized except a few intelligently arranged keys that allow everything to fit smartly while also adding functionality to the layout. The key presses are nice and tactile, not to firm, but not mushy either. I like that it uses normal batteries instead of a rechargeable pack, so when the batteries get weak I can just change them out for a new set instead of having to put the whole keyboard on a charger. I assume the batteries will last a long time since the keyboard is no frills without any lights besides the small LED that lights up when the keyboard is first switched on. I usually prefer a back lit keyboard when using a wireless keyboard because I use it for my HTPC and often am in the dark. I'm a hunt and peck typist so back lighting is helpful to me, however this keyboard has a slot that I can stick my phone, and I found that using my phone to illuminate the keyboard when needed works just fine. Overall this keyboard is great for what I use it for. It programmed itself to my PC pretty much by itself. All I had to do was insert the included USB receiver and click a few prompts and it just works with no drama at all. It also works with the same USB receiver as my Logitech wireless mouse, so that's another plus as I don't need to have 2 USB ports used up. Logitech really did a great job with this keyboard, and I'd easily recommend this to anyone weather they need wireless or just a keyboard. I'm sure they won't be disappointed.

The keyboard keeps randomly lagging and it’s driving me nuts. Tried new batteries, uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing works. Wasted money. Note: I bought to use it with a pc. Not sure if it works better with tablet/other devices.

We are sorry about the experience. Please verify the product or receiver is connected directly to the computer and not to a hub, extender, switch or something similar. Also, move the device closer to the USB receiver. If the issue persist, contact Logi support for further assistance.

High quality, slim, multi-device keyboard

The slim Logitech - K585 Full-size Wireless Scissor Keyboard for Windows, Mac, Chrome, and Android with Built-in Cradle is a very nice and convenient sized wireless keyboard. The Logitech brand is synonymous with quality PC accessories and this K585 met the expectations I had given that it is a Logitech keyboard.
The slim design is very nice but it still feels like a sturdy, high-quality keyboard despite its size. One of the coolest features this keyboard has is the built-in phone cradle. Being able to seamlessly switch from typing on my computer to texting or making notes on my phone is very handy and something I had not previously even thought about let alone experienced but now I use it very often for these purposes.
The other thing I really like about this keyboard is the feeling of the keys when typing. They are not very loud and to me, take just the right amount of pressure to press each key. The only slight drawback I can come up with is the fact that this keyboard does not have the traditional insert, delete, home, end, page up, and page down keys in-between the number pad and the right edge of the other standard keys. Instead, these keys are across the top of the standard keys and number pad which is a little difficult to get used too since I often use the delete key on a traditional keyboard but with time, I’m sure I’ll get used to the new placement and it won’t be an issue. I believe the space saved by how small this keyboard is more than makes up for this slight drawback.
Overall, I really like the Logitech - K585 Full-size Wireless Scissor Keyboard for Windows, Mac, Chrome, and Android with Built-in Cradle and I highly recommend it!

Good solid feel on the keys!

Good solid feel on the keys! After all, that's why one buys a particular keyboard.
In the box, there are a pack of batteries (AAA x 2), a quick start card, and the keyboard itself.
The keyboard comes with a tray in which to place a phone or tablet. The tray is actually part of the cover which hides, among other items, the USB dongle and the keyboard's serial number.
Having both a Mac and a PC, I connected it to both using the handy selector buttons at the top. Both connected easily using Bluetooth and I was up and running quickly. The dongle worked as expected after downloading the Logitech Unifying Software.
The tactility of the keyboard is similar, though a small step down in my opinion, from the MX Keys keyboard.
As a full sized keyboard, the key layout for the letters and associated keys are all in their standard spots. The number pad is easy to access. The insert, delete, home, end, page up and down keys are all located across the top, above the numeric keypad. The arrow keys, are down below the right-hand shift key. My fingers do not feel cramped moving around the keys.
I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone looking to upgrade to something that feels well-built and sturdy, yet with good touch.

Pleasantly Surprised

I was pleasantly surprised by the keyboard's slim profile. In my new job position, I do not have much desk space so having something that is lighter and smaller helps quite a bit. The cell phone stand is a nice touch because now I do not have to have a separate holder off to the side. If I didn't have bulky phone case, it would work much better. But it still holds it just fine. The versatility of the connection to a device is great as well. You can either have it connect via USB or it has the ability to connect via bluetooth. It also has a great function in it that allows it to go into a sleep mode to conserve battery life. The claim is that it can have up to 24 months of battery life so I'd have to check back in 2 years to tell you if it lasts or not.
The keys are also very quiet and slim, similar to a laptop's keyboard. Although I do not really have much of a problem with noise or need something super quiet, it's still nice to have just in case. I really like how portable this product is. It is the same width as my laptop so it fits into my laptop bag really well.
Overall this is one of the most useful keyboards I have ever owned and I think it's a great product to use in the office or at home.
