Two of these keyboards had issing keys
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't tried the actual keyboard to be honest - the reason being that I got two keyboards and both were missing at least 5 keys. Best Buy was great in exchanging the first one (which was missing several of the number keys). My fault for not checking the second one they sent me, which was actually missing even more keys, and I missed the exchange window. Disappointed and wishing I had gotten something else. I think this may be a manufacturer problem rather than one at Best Buy (then again, Best Buy sells the item and should own their defective products). Looking at the package again, it looks dirty with debris inside the actual plastic bag containing the keyborad. It looks like somebody bought it, took out some keys to replace ones on another keyboard and just returned this one. Twice. Pretty disgruntled. I would shop elsewhere.

Not worth the money - any money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is a piece of junk. If you use the legs to prop the rear up, the whole keyboard flexes as you type on it. And every time I press the left SHIFT key, it puts the CAPS LOCK key on. I am surprised that Logitech would put out such a poor quality product.

Posted .Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write your review of the K740 keyboard. I'm sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with the keyboard. If you are looking for a backlit wired keyboard, I would recommend the K845. It has mechanical keys. The Shift/CAPS issue may be helped with a few quick blasts of compressed air. It sounds as if there is something stuck between the two keys and is causing a key press to push both keys. If you have any other questions or issues, please visit our support site: support.logi.com

Posted .Hi Morning, I'm sorry that you are experiencing sticky keys on the K740. I would recommend using compressed air to dislodge any particles that might have gotten stuck in the keyboard over time. You can also wipe down your keyboard with a slightly damn cloth to keep it clean. I'm sorry that you felt that the price didn't reflect the quality of the product. Thank you for being a Logitech customer. Kristi from Logitech

Buyer Beware - Critical Design Flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just and FYI, this keyboard has "key locking" on the following sequence of keys: N apostrophe T That means that whenever you type a contraction, such as: don't, can't, won't, etc - the letter "t" will always get dropped from the output. This is a serious design flaw, and anyone who is a fast typer won't be able to accurately type of this keyboard. Until logitech releases a new hardware iteration of this keyboard, stay away!

Do NOT buy for Gaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard has an intentional limitation that won't allow combination of W+Shift+Spacebar keys. Is an idiotic limitation known for years with this Logitech model. Do not buy this!

Do NOT buy for gaming!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard will not allow you to be running and jump in a game, W+shift+spacebar..... Known hardware issue, or marketing campaign to force us to buy keyboards that say "gaming". My old $10 logitech board let me use these 3 keys at once. There should be a notice on the packaging.
