Customers are saying

Customers admire the product's excellent overall performance, reliable solar charging, and comfortable key feel. They also appreciate its seamless connectivity, sleek design, and impressive battery life, which contributes to a quiet and enjoyable typing experience. However, some users note the absence of indicator lights for cap lock or number lock. A minor concern is the glossy black finish around the keys.

This keyboard is great! I was looking for a wireless keyboard to use at my desk. I really like that it is solar powered; I never have to worry about changing batteries. I also really like that there is an app you can download from the mac app store that will tell you more about your keyboard's status. For example, it will tell you the energy level your keyboard has left and it will also tell you the amount of light the keyboard is receiving. They keys are really close to the keys on the apple wireless keyboard. The only downside to the keyboard is that it doesn't connect using bluetooth. There is a USB connecter you have to use, but it is very small. Unless you need to use the USB for something else, it is really not that noticeable.

    Solely 4 Solar

Ok, I'll admit that I splurged on another great keyboard from Logitech bascially due to the solar capabilities, I had purchased the 920-000914 several months earlier and was very impressed, in fact, nearly everything that Logitech has their hands in is impressive, for me it has been anyway. I was in need of a wireless keyboard for my entertainment center which is used mainly for browsing the web, nothing heavy. So while walking through the store one day, saw this and thought "no more batteries", done deal. This keyboard worked like a charm right out of the box. Windows XP had no issues with it at all and it picked up nicely from about 25 feet across the room. It is very thin and light weight and the keys are very quiet and stable. I really appreciate the On/Off switch, really saves the energy. Glad they're going with the unifying receivers now, one receiver runs multiple devices, only one USB input needed.

It works as it is supposed to

Anyone who owns a mac...I definitely recommend the Logitech K750 solar keyboard. Never needs batteries, powered by light, can stay charged for 3 months w/o light, and needs little light to function. Plus it has a damned number pad, which the bluetooth wireless keyboard does not have (and doesn't kill ur batteries in a month, either). Only downside is that it does require a free USB port, but it is a small caveat. Responds well, I haven't noticed any lag at all, and it is nice, because with the original keyboard that came with the iMac I have, 10% of the time it disconnects. A very impressive device.

No complaints, works great, nice key action and the solar feature is awesome. Was a little concerned when I first got it since the box lists only Windows, but this worked just fine with my Mac Mini.

I like this keyboard. I didn't buy this keyboard because of the solar panels. The thin design is the real selling point. I've gone through a lot of multimedia keyboards -- many of them from Logitech, but it's the ones with simple interfaces that stand the test of time. Kensington had been making slim laptop like keyboards long before logitech. Although Kensington has never made a keyboard this thin and with wifi. However, the Kensington slimtype keyboard is much quieter. Also, I personally prefer the button form factor on the Kensington. The buttons on this keyboard are more of what you would see on the macs -- a style which I think looks cleaner, but not easier to type on. This keyboard is on trial for replacing my G15. There's a squeaking noise when I hit the backspace button that's making me consider returning it to Best Buy. Pros: -Minimalist design -Very slim. I love low profile keyboards. -very responsive -unify. works well with my performance mx mouse. Cons: - No indicators for scroll/caps/num -squeaky backspace button Don't cares: - solar - fn button

    Logitech wins again

Had used PC version K570 for 4-5 years til I finally destroyed it with liquid. As I now use a MacBook mainly as a desktop, I coughed up the extra 10 bucks for the Mac version this time. (Either Mac or PC version works with a Mac but some command key differences can be disorienting for a Mac user for a few minutes and vice-versa. I've found that to be the same even with other brands' cheap wireless keyboards.) I'm using this keyboard for business and personal writing, browsing - a lot of keystrokes but not pounding-key gaming type applications. I find both versions to be high-quality and both are quiet keyboards with the low-profile keys I like, and just the right size. The Mac version feels softer-touch with less clicking noise, and in silver doesn't show finger-smudges like the PC version did. I definitely like the Mac version better however both K570 variants are solidly-built, with some heft to them despite their ultra thin profile. (i.e., you could do damage on the face of a bad guy with this, unlike the keyboard you get with your office desktop PC.) I also use this to work within a windows desktop work terminal via my MacBook, and have found the cmd and alt type keys to work the way I need them to, within that environment. I don't find the solar app to be process-hogging on a Mac as some of its reviews indicate - dig into it and you'll find it's easy to limit it from running constantly. Having had the PC version for several years, I found that eventually I did need to move the keyboard into more direct sunlight for a good charge while I was away, as my office is fairly dim, however I never ran into a real issue. Caps-lock on light is the only thing I'd enjoy having, however I've frankly never had a real issue as during touch-typing I'm looking at the screen and not the keyboard, anyway. For desktop use, the K570, either version, has been my favorite in terms of layout and comfort and I look forward to my new Mac version lasting many years until I tip a drink into it, as well :)

I've only had this for a couple days but I have to say that it's working great and I really enjoy the form factor. Getting acclimated to the location of keys compared to my old keyboard is taking some time but if that is my only problem...geesh, what a deal! I am using this in an office with the blinds closed and ambient sun along with overhead lighting and have not had an issue with the keyboard charging or keeping a charge. There's a handy little button you can push to see how your charge is holding - happy or sad. Sad = recharge. I had no problems pairing both the keyboard and mouse with the unifying dongle. Downloaded the drivers (instead of letting Windows be 'smart' about it) and had them running in 10 minutes.

    Great keyboard!

I'm writing this review about 3 hours into my first use. It's a great keyboard! You will feel right at home with this keyboard if you're coming from the standard Apple keyboard. It's wireless and includes the keypad on the right. Of course its standout feature is the solar panels it uses to charge it. I have an LED lit floor lamp about 1 foot away from desk and stands at about 3 feet from my keyboard and it gets a very VERY good charge from it. However, after I tested how well it charges i decided to cover up the solar panels to see how long it lasts running on just battery (which will never be the case because it also charges with the iMac's screen brightness). So far, after 3 hours, i'm still at 100% and it's receiving no charge. If you're on the brink, go for it. The keys are even more comfortable.

Originally I went to Best Buy to look for a washable keyboard. The store does not keep this item in stock and it has to be ordered and shipped to your house (or to the store). Personally, I don't like buying a keyboard without trying it first so I decided against this. While I was there, I noticed this SOLAR Keyboard. I thought this would be great - no wires. My desk at home is not in front of a window but the light from my desk lamp charges it. The keyboard is kind of small and doesn't raise up very high but it's easy to type on. It seems easy to clean also. I would recommend this without hesitation to anyone in the market for a keyboard.

    Sustainability on your desk

This is an awesome keyboard for those of us who are in the sustainability world. It shows everyone who visits your office that you take it seriously. The keyboard is very low-profile & doesn't take up your whole desk space. The keyboard is super thin which I like. It is not ergonomic, though, if you need or like that. Logitech's low-profile USB wireless connection is great for those of us who travel & don't like to unplug the USBs all the time. Plus it truly is a plug & play piece of equipment. Lastly, the app that shows how much available light you have charging the keyboard & what the keyboard's reserve power is is a cool thing to show off.

Works for both PC and Mac

Never replace a battery again! This great keyboard works for both PC and Mac. My only complaint would be that the keys are different than those to an authentic Apple keyboard. They seem to be made out of plastic, but you don't notice it much when you're typing. There's a button on the keyboard you can press to check if there's enough light. I use this keyboard in a poorly lit room and it still receives enough light. I'm 100% satisfied with this purchase. I recommend you buy this immediately to quit using batteries.

This thin, solar powered keyboard is a thing of beauty! The keys are easy to strike, very quiet and the thin size makes it a breeze to deal with and/or move. The solar power source is awesome and keeps the keyboard powered for months. Has on/off switch which is great for long periods of inactivity. Best keyboard I've ever had!

I was skeptical that this keyboard would not be worth my money but man is it proving me wrong. I can't believe how easy it was to set up and connect. It even comes with an update to see the amount of light is hitting the solar panels. Typing on it is very fluid and the keys are very responsive. Just what I was looking for in a wireless keyboard!!!

    Great design and efficiency

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This keyboard is wonderful, for the most part. The lack of a cable frees up the work area and allows for greater efficiency. Furthermore, the keys on the board are adequately spaced and comfortable to press; the resistance upon button presses is tactile yet not overly strenuous. The only downside to this keyboard is that, by nature, the solar cells are recharging the battery continuously when illuminated; therefore, the keyboard depletes the life of the battery quickly since rechargeable batteries can be recharged a finite number of times. Under constant usage, this can be a problem and create additional maintenance costs.

This Logitech K750 Wireless Solar Keyboard is unique in it's ability to recharge built-in batteries from ambient light. The ultra-thin profile eliminates the need for wrist rests. It could have been better with LED key back-lighting, and more battery capacity. Software shows battery status so that you can place the keyboard under a lamp if the battery levels are too low.

I hadn't even seen there was an alternative wireless mac keyboard until I saw it in store. I went to get the wired Apple version since the wireless is so incredibly small and awkward. This connected immediately, the setup menu loaded without doing anything special on my part, and it is very comfortable. I like the look and if it is anything like my PC Logitech keyboard (K800), the battery life will be remarkably great. A+

the greatest thing this keyboard has going for it is solar power and never having to change the batteries. overall if you took that out i would drop it 1-2 stars due to small keys and poor product build.

Bought this so it would easier to use my MacBook Pro on my TV screen it is works amazingly! No lag whatsoever and it links up easily with my Logitech wireless mouse with only one of the USB receiver so I have to waste only USB port to use both! In love with the solar power charger. It's going to be really nice not having to worry about my keyboard dying on me! Great buy!

This is a great keyboard. The touch is wonderful and it's easy to keep the battery loaded. I wish it came in a lighter color because the black doesn't match anything else, but I'll settle for function over glamor in any tool!
