Nice keyboard--short battery life; short key life

    Posted .

Overall it is initially a good keyboard. But after about 8 months of use the battery would no longer charge. Went through a lengthy and annoying RMA process and received a refurbished replacement. Now after 6 months the battery is failing again and it's out of warranty. Also, the Command key on both keyboards is intermittently non-responsive. Might be better if the battery was user replaceable but it is NOT.

Good idea. . . but product not for me

This keyboard, and the solar power recharge, are a great idea. Sleek and comfortable to type on, and with no cords and an easy setup. However, living in the PacNW, we don't not get even close to enough daylight to keep this thing remotely charged. Best suggestion, if you work/live somewhere that the keyboard will be exposed to constant fluorescent lighting.

    Lag/Bad connection?

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Maybe I received a bad one, but this thing just randomly stops working. I will generally let it charge for a full week in a sunny window and use it on the weekends, but it cuts out and lags after about 30 minutes of use. Maybe it's the USB? Super annoying because I otherwise love how convenient it is.

The keyboard works great right out of the box. Just needed to plug in the USB and it started working immediately.

Just what I wanted in a wireless keyboard. Big plus, do not have to be concerned with recharging.

    Poor Feeling "Chicklet" Keyboard

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I ended up returning this keyboard after two keys that are rarely used (specifically the num-lock and the #7 keypad) fell off after less than 1 week of use. But even if that's not factored in, this is the poorest feeling keyboard I've ever purchased. The "universal" usb interface didn't work with my Logitech wireless M, so I still had to have two fobs installed (not the end of the world, but I'd have expected compatibility with a top of the line mouse of the same manufacture) Office lighting really isn't sufficient to charge the keyboard. It has to be VERY bright. If you use the keyboard at home in the evening, in an interior office, or you keep blinds closed when you're away - don't expect it to hold a charge. But of all the problems - the feel of the keyboard is the worst. There's no depth to the keys at all, and the "chicklet" style keys don't work well if you touch-type. They kind of float over the keyboard and don't have a solid feel to them. The entire keyboard is super-thin and lightweight, which makes it move about the desk as you work. This felt like more like a poor laptop keyboard, than a good replacement one for home use.

    Paperweight

I bought this to use with my TV. It never worked on the TV. It worked with the laptop but I had better keyboards for that so it sat on the shelf through the entire warranty period. I bought a $2000 desk and figured I could use this with the new desk because the drawers are so small and I needed a smaller profile keyboard to fit a mouse in the drawer too. I confirmed it still worked with the original laptop, but then could not get it to work with the new one. I removed the device from the unifying receiver and now can not add it to either laptop. All of my mice transferred. Called Logitech support and they said it doesn't work. Total waste of $60.

Buy anything else. This is junk.

Too bad you can't give negative stars... I know it's a cliche but still. This thing is absolute trash. Bought it and it had an 85% charge. About two days later it was 40%. So I left it in the sun all day, and it got to about 80%. Well I've had it about 6 months and no matter what I've done it never charged above 85%. So, angry and annoyed, I decided to leave it in the sun until it charged to 100% the other day. It's been 4 days and it's only at 97%. These things are trash. I've gone back to my wired keyboard because A) why do I need a wireless keyboard for a computer I'm all of 2 feet from. And B) this piece of garbage is just that, garbage. Look we all know the overwhelming majority of 4 & 5 star reviews are paid for, cut and paste nonsense. So believe the negative reviews telling you not to buy this thing. Move on to something that uses AA or AAA batteries you can recharge on the wall. This might have seemed like a good idea in a boardroom, but it is not a good idea in practice. Most of us have desks with keyboard trays that slide in when we are done. It means you have to leave the tray out or set the KB on the desktop when not in use. And you either have to make sure the desk is in a well let area or leave a light in the computer room on at all times. The second option of course negating any green thoughts you might be having about the thing. This is yet another fail from a company that seems to fail upward on the regular.

    Too many flaws

After using this keyboard for a few months I threw it in the garbage and went and bought the basic Apple Extended keyboard. It has some flaws that drove me nuts. For one, if you're a heavy Mac user like I am you'll understand this is a must, you are not able to zap your P-Ram with this keyboard. Also there is no Caps Lock indicator - I can't tell you how many times I started TYPING ONLY TO REALIZE I WAS SENDING OUT AN EMAIL IN ALL CAPS AND HAD TO GO BACK AND ERASE THE ENTIRE THING AND START OVER.

    No Bluetooth. Needs USB-A port

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I wish I would have read that this keyboard does not have Bluetooth before I purchased it. I assumed because it's for Mac that it would, but that's on me for not reading. It requires a receiver that plugs into a USB-A port. Since most Macs only have USB-C these days, this isn't useful to me. Hope it helps someone else though.

Hi Matt, Very sorry to hear about your disappointment with the K750 for Mac. You can use an adapter---USB-A to USB-C---to connect it. Or, Logitech does have a host of keyboards that connect via Bluetooth. Here they are:  https://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards?filters=3948,3952. Hope that this was helpful and hope that you'll give Logitech another try. Best Regards, Richard from Logitech

    Great Keyboard, Non-Cooperative Solar Panels

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This keyboard was great. Spaced out keys. Not to stiff or to loose, but saying so there is also alot of major flaws in this. The pegs on the back are very flimsy and im always afraid ill break them. The keyboard's Solar Panels Doesnt charge in dim lights like the box says. (I have confirmed this with 2 of these keyboards). The keyboards have no scratch protection and the keyboards are finger print magnets.

Don't Buy This If You Want Longevity

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this keyboard for my new work Mac last August. It functioned properly for about 3 months. One day it just started typing random letters when I wasn't even touching it. I tried resetting it, readding it to my computer, everything I could find online with no luck. I contacted the company and they sent me a new keyboard in January. (I forgot about following up with them over the holidays, their customer service wasn't that slow). I started using my new keyboard in January and until July, it functioned great. Now I'm back to a glitchy keyboard that randomly doesn't type or ends up typing half of what I tried to write. It doesn't seem to matter how much I charge it or how many times I try uninstalling and reinstalling. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who wants something that will actually last. Unfortunately a lot of people really like the fact that they don't have to replace batteries but they're going to have to replace the entire keyboard when it needs to go to the landfill in a few months. I'll stick with Apple now that they have an option with a numeric pad.

    Very poorly made

I bought this keyboard a while ago and kept having issues with it lagging and stuttering after a couple of hours of use. This playing Overwatch or Battlefield my character would just get stuck and stutter around. For the longest time I thought it was an internet issue until I noticed it doing the same thing writing text and tested it on a bunch of other computers and got the same issue. Logitech sent a replacement and were pretty easy to deal with, even if they took their sweet time actually shipping it. I went to install the replacement today but when I pulled it out of the box and tilted it to remove the tissue paper wrapping the 0 key from the numpad fell off in my lap. I tried to go back to the original that lagged but it won't even turn on now. Logitech has said they'll send a second replacement but at this point I really just wish they'd let me select something else or give me a voucher to buy a different logitech keyboard at the store rather than make me wait for another replacement to arrive. I hate doing this but I'm going to have to go buy and return another keyboard just so I can use my computer while I wait for a 3'rd K750 to arrive.
