This keyboard lights up when you place your hands over it. However, it does not always work right away, so you find yourself waving your hands in the air a lot. It also has a palm rest area, so you have more space to pick it up. Some of the logitech keyboards are not as easy to pick up because they are smaller. It does take up more space on a desk, so if you don't have space, this is not the keyboard for you. It does work well, but not great, so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. The wireless feature uses a lot of energy, so the keyboard needs to be recharged frequently, sometimes every other day.

I have used a wireless keyboard for nearly 10 years, and I am very pleased with this version. It is full sized, very easy to type on, not bulky, and the combination of the function keys as "media keys" is ingenious. It does have dedicated volume control keys, which I find to be very important. Overall no complaints, and the charge by a USB cable is very convenient. Of note, I was originally looking for Bluetooth keyboards because why use a USB port when you do not need to; but, the universal receiver works very well and there are always plenty of USB ports these days.

It is compatible with my logitech mouse, so I only need one USB. It is nice that it is illuminated.

I’ve never had a problem with Logitech products. This keyboard is high quality, feels great, and is backlit!

Love the way this keyboard feels and looks. I can work in the dark because it's a backlit keyboard.

I recommend this key board to all who need to travel and continue to work. Very easy connecting system. A must for every home and office!

I’ve had many different keyboards but none are as good as this one. Smooth typing and bring light for dark room use.

I love the backlit keyboard on my wife's Macbook Air. I finally have something similar for my desktop. Love it when I drop by the computer at night. Great feel. Battery is rechargeable and lasts well over a month with a lot of use between charges. Can be used while charging via USB. The unifying USB receiver is making me switch to a Logitech mouse just so I can get rid of yet another USB dongle. Excellent software. No complaints. I am thinking of purchasing one for my office to replace the one the company provides. The only complaint I have is that the backlight turns off too soon. There are options to override the default settings but there are not enough.

Great keyboard with quiet keys...except for one cursor key that squeaks. Illumination is magical...making the keyboard visible in any lighting conditions.
