    So, the keyboard is awesome...solid, great feel, good looking, etc... One huge problem is they designed the unit to put the keyboard in Sleep Mode after a minute or so of non-use. When you hit a key, it turns back on but you will soon find out that it will slow you down because the very first key you type will not show and you have to go back and edit. I've been trying to deal with this issue because I love the keyboard otherwise but I don't think I can live with this. I have been on the Forums at their site and they clearly stated there is no way to Update the software in the keyboard to change/turn off the sleep mode. Lots of others in the Forums were also very unhappy too so I think they are updating the product for future manufacturing shipments...maybe by the time you read this, the keyboard will be updated and be fantastic...but then again, maybe not. I am currently trying to get mine replaced with one that has been updated as some in the Forums have done this successfully with the manufacturer.     I like the illuminated keys and the keyboard feel is OK. I don't like the very short battery life and the need to turn the keyboard on/off. Hooking up the USB charging cable makes it pointless for it to be wireless. I will be returning this or giving it away to a relative.

      Hi JCG1, Very sorry to hear about the issue with battery life that you're having with the K800. Battery life should be up to 10 days on a single charge (plugged in for 6 hours) depending on usage and the on/off switch simply helps preserve battery life between uses. Also, I highly suggest using our Firmware Update Tool to insure that the keyboards runs optimally. I'm sending you a link to the support page for the K800 and you'll find the Firmware Update Tool in the "Downloads" section.
