Unreliable Junk!

Randomly keys will stop working and then begin working again. The battery life is horrible so I just plug it in all the time. Today pushing one key on the keyboard activates a totally different key. It is a few months old and is not usable. Garbage.

Elegant, but frustrating - and a total 'fail'

Began hit-miss online, but did OK with documents and local machine functions for a while, cycle off-on, sometimes worked, now, won't even do that. Apparently losing wireless connection? But that does not explain the on-line vs. local PC operations at 1st? Tried all support recommendations - FAIL! Returning, will try another, but symptoms don't make sense.

Worst keyboard ever

I have bought 2 of these keyboards within 4 months. After 2 months random keys stop responding when pressed making the keyboard useless. I won't be purchasing a more expensive Logitech anymore and will stick to the basic board until they produce actual decent keyboards.

Lost its keyboard brains

It would not type some characters and do multiple letters with one keystroke. I returned this this one and upgraded to a more expensive keyboard that seems to be working as expected.

Thank you for choosing Logitech and for taking the time to review the K800 Wireless Illuminated keyboard. I am sorry that you have had issues with this keyboard disconnecting; I would like to help. I have attached a link to the support page for your K800 keyboard. I recommend running the “Firmware Update Tool” to ensure your USB receiver has the latest updates.
I also recommend downloading the Logitech “SetPoint” software for customization, updates, and best overall experience. If you are still experiencing connectivity issues, I recommend running the Logitech “Unifying” software where you can reestablish the connection between the keyboard and USB receiver. If you are still experiencing issues, further support is available on the Logitech support website.

Posted .Hey Linda, I'm sorry to hear that you had some issues with the K800 keyboard. I would recommend making sure the USB dongle is properly plugged into your computer, and possibly think about using a different USB port to make sure the issue isn't the receiver or the USB port. In addition, I would recommend making sure the batteries are fully charged, and properly seated inside the keyboard.

Replaced old logitech...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced old logitech with this keyboard and loved the feel and the back lighting. I don't like to work at home in bright lights. The keyboard also stays in place while typing, unlike the old one. Another good feature is the fact that I only need one usb transmitter to control this keyboard and the wireless logitech mouse that I already use. You just download their software from their web site, follow the easy instructions and now I have a freed up usb port to use, which is great because I was down to my last one on my Gateway desktop. On the logitech website they show you which mouse models are compatible with that feature and mine wasn't listed. I tried it anyway and was quite pleased when it worked.

Poorly made keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not sure if I just got a lemon or not, but when I opened the box 4 keys were no longer attached. I tried to put them back on, however was not able to do so. Ended up returning the keyboard.

LOVE this keyboard!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is one of the BEST devices! 1) It has a range of at least 20-25 feet from the transmitter, which is a tiny little USB device that plugs into your computer. 2) Its intelligent in that it turns off the backlighting after a short period of time, and it senses when you get your hand near it (you dont have to hit a key to get it to light up) 3) the backlighting is GREAT for low light situations (I use it in nighclubs to run my computer graphics shows on a projector) 4) The built in battery goes forever on a charge (I still havent had to charge it up and I have been using this for several hours of continuous use). 5) This model didnt come with a mouse, however I purchased a Logitech wireless mouse, and the mouse works with the same transmitter. You need to download the software and install it b4 the mouse works, but that wasnt a big deal. The keyboard worked with Windows 7 out of the box without installing the software. I would DEFINITELY recommend this keyboard to others.. Johan

Hitting the arrow keys instead of the shift or enter keys moves your curser to a different line.

the illumination only lasts a month
