Fantastic Keyboard - Worth The PRice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic keyboard -- I really have no criticisms of it, other than the fact that it is on the slightly more expensive side. Easy to set-up, the wireless receiver is incredibly small and unobtrusive, great battery life, great build quality, a pleasure to type on (with the right amount of feedback / noise), and the backlighting feature is pretty cool.

Awesome keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a wireless keyboard so that's an obvious plus. The keys themselves are very comfortable to type on. The motion sensored lights make it easy to see your keyboard in the dark should you remove your hands from the keyboard often. A very nice plus is the fact that you don't have to mess with batteries. Simply plug in the keyboard using the included USB cable to recharge the keyboard. The battery indicator is helpful for knowing when to recharge. On/off switch is great for preserving batteries when not in use.

Very nice keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my favorite keyboard I've had so far. The keys have a nice soft-mechanical feel, and feel very substantial/well made. It is relatively quiet as well. Gesturing over top if it turns on the backlight, which is very cool. Pairs with a logitech unifying receiver-capable mouse or other devices too.

Great keyboard for dimly lit rooms
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Logitech wireless illuminated keyboard, as the F key stopped working on my first one. I keep mine plugged in all the time, with the illumination turned up to max, as I found that I was having to touch the keys first just to turn the illumination on, and with the cord plugged in, the illumination is always on. Keys are very quiet; the rear legs are not really long enough, but I have the back edge sitting on the raised edge of my computer desk.

This is a great keyboard for all the right reasons
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great keyboard--it's easy to type on and the darn thing lights up whenever your fingers hover near it. And thanks to Logitech enabling one Blue Tooth connector, it works with my mouse as well (a replacement for the wretched Microsoft Arc Touch).

WORTH THE PRICE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Frankly, I was skeptical that this was worth the cost but liked the layout better than the other keyboards so took a chance. Glad I did. Pros: Great feel and layout Lighted keyboard and sensor are very handy Rechargeable battery is the best plus of all!!! Cons: Haven't found any yet

My Logitech Keyboard Review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this keyboard because I needed one that lights up so I can see in the dark and this one does exactly that. My favorite features includes: being about to turn off the light (during the day to conserve battery), being able to adjust how bright you want to make it and the rechargeable battery via usb cord (no more wasting time buying batteries). Slick design makes it an expensive looking keyboard. Can't go wrong with this model.

Nice keyboard, could be better for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been wanting an illuminated KB for a long time and bought this one for myself as a christmas gift..well, to me. The backlighting feature is cool and works great. It lights up only when you touch the keys which saves battery power. That's the good part. The bad part is the design is a bit cheap looking, sorry to say. I wanted the keys to be a bit more recessed and quiet like a laptops keyboard. Also, when I tried to connect it to my work laptop it wasn't recognized. It seems to be married to my personal laptop only which I don't like because I switch between them almost daily. In summary, it's a nice KB which when used only with my personal laptop does exactly what I wanted it to. But, for $100 it should have a sleaker design. Fortunately, I bought it marked down $20. IF I could use it with both my laptops I would have given it a higher grade. Maybe there is a solution to that issue but I don't have time to research it so far.

Cool Keyboard,Backlit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this keyboard so I could have a backlit one on the ASUS 23" AIO...Never used it since I thought it came with mouse too,,, that's what you get when you don't read for yourself...Anyway when I exchanged the ASUS for the MSI it came with backlit keyboard and lighted mouse so I didn't need this anymore so I returned to store

Best keyboard I've ever used
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For about a year, I had been using some off brand wireless keyboard that was illuminated. The light was blue and could be annoying at times. It also needed to be charged after a couple days. The only way you could tell if it needed charged would be if the illuminated keyboard started to flicker. This keyboard on the other hand is different. The build material is quite excellent! Top notch. There is a battery indicator at the top to give you an idea of how much battery you have left. The battery on this is great compared to my previous keyboard. It lasts around 2-3 months for my use. It charges via a Micro USB cable. You can use the keys to turn the keyboard illumination brightness up or down to your desired setting. It was a bit more expensive when I first bought it, but it has been worth every penny.

Nice keyboard for the right price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up this keyboard when BB was offering it for $62 - great price others had it for $87. Only complaint I have is access to the built-in rechargeable battery. Other have complained about battery life but since I've only had mine for a few days, we'll see how long it actually lasts under my real-world conditions. One feature I haven't been able to activate is the proximity sensor. Supposedly, waving your hand over the keyboard will light the keys, haven't been able to make it do that but it's not that big a deal for me anyway.

A must have keyboard !
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. How much can you say about a new wireless keyboard? For the Logitech K800, quite a lot! This is a nice keyboard and definitely a step up from the “norm”. Very simple to set up, it took just 2 minutes from removing it from the box to using it. Simply slide the supplied wireless USB receiver plug into your PC, turn on the wireless function, (on/off switch), on the top of the keyboard, the keys light up and away you go, ready to use. Very simple and pretty snazzy! You can’t miss something you’ve never had, and I’ve never had an illuminated keyboard before so it never even crossed my mind as being a need. However, after using this keyboard now for 10 days I wonder if I’ll ever be able to do without the illumination? It’s a great feature and I’ll recommend this to anyone. I use this keyboard in a fairly dimly lit office that also suffers with poor ambient light, and I have to say, it’s been an absolute blessing in that environment. A nice surprise that I wasn’t expecting was the auto motion sensor in the keyboard that senses when your hands are hovering over the key board, and this immediately turns on the backlight illumination across all the keys, and vice versa, when you remove your hands away from the keyboard the backlight dims to off very quickly. The keys remain visible but not illuminated while not in use. It also has brightness self sensing, adjusting its brightness to the current lighting environment, which is a nice feature and saves manually making that adjustment for varying conditions. The sensor turns off the backlight in about 3 seconds when it senses no activity of the keys, or no hovering hands, and therefore gives maximum battery conservation. The built in battery is also a plus and removes the need to mess with disposable batteries, and the keyboard comes with a charging cable that simply plugs into any USB port on your PC to re-charge, (perfect for overnight re-charging use), and there’s a low battery indicator on top of the keyboard next to the on/off switch. Battery life to date has been excellent; I’ve used the keyboard on and off over 10 days without a re-charge. Use of the “smart” keys, (FN Keys), is easy and straight forward for instant access to launching the web, music/media player, email, search engine, calculator and much more. This key board has a nice, slim, modern feel to it, predominantly black in color but with an eye catching white side flare around its inward slopping edges. It’s a very neat and tidy looking keyboard with an extended front palm rest, which is wider than a standard keyboard and gives it that more ergonomic feel and look. The illumination on a keyboard is now a must have, must stay feature for me. It makes everything else I’ve had or used seem a bit dated. Nice job Logitech! It’s a very nice product.

Nice keyboard for a single PC only (no KVM)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have multiple PCs and I use a KVM switch to share the Keyboard, Monitor (Video) and Mouse. This keyboard will not work using my KVM, (Iogear GCS1644) which I have had for a couple years. I have used many other keyboards with this KVM, but this keyboard with the Logitech Unifying Receiver (dongle) will not work. I had the same issue with a recent wireless trackball mouse purchase (model M570) that uses the same sort of receiver. I was able to put the mouse dongle in an accessory USB port on the KVM and it works fine but since the K800 is a keyboard, it needs to be connected to the keyboard port on the KVM so the HotKey feature works. I am very disappointed because the K800 keyboard is very nice. The illumination was very good, the auto dimming was a cool feature and I liked the feel of the keyboard. I like Logitech keyboards but I will need to find a different one that is wireless and is illuminated. In the meantime I will fall back to my Logitech S510 that is wireless but does not use this crazy Unifying Receiver technology, but also is not illuminated. I returned the K800 before I had time to confirm its battery life. It should be noted that the Unifying Receiver is paired at a hardware level with the device it ships with and then via software pairing you can "unify" by pairing other compatible devices to a single dongle. The software pairing requires installing the Logitech software on your PC.

Great keyboard

Great keyboard from Logitech.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the past several years, I have owned many Logitech products. From a computing standpoint, I only purchase Logitech because I have had such good results. From keyboards, to mice, to web cams and other items, I go out of my way to purchase Logitech. My first illuminated keyboard was the USB wired Logitech keyboard which I loved. As soon as the wireless model came out, I jumped all over it. The battery capacity is great, the illumination is right where I would expect, and the feel of the keyboard is spot on to what I wanted. If I were to find a flaw, it would be the motion sensor for the keyboard. It dims when your hands are not near the keys, so when you move to the keyboard, it illuminates. Personally, I prefer the keyboard to have a light sensor that would turn on when the ambient light reached a certain threshold. Not a big deal at all.....just trying to find a flaw. I recommend this wireless keyboard 100%. PS - If you want to buy the USB wired version, I will sell mine for cheap. :-)

Excellent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic keyboard. It is better than the gamer keyboard I had before. Rechargeable, with charges lasting 1-2 months, it lights up as your hand hovers over it, each key feels great. Highly recommend it.

Makes typing pleasant
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is the only wireless keyboard I've ever used, and I like it. It comes with rechargeable batteries and a USB cable to charge the keyboard. It has to be recharged at least every 10 days and frequently more often than that, especially if you want very bright illumination. In fact, if you want the brightest illumination, you must keep the keyboard plugged into the computer constantly, otherwise the batteries will drain in like 10 minutes. This keyboard is not for someone who wants the keyboard to be constantly illuminated. Because it's wireless, the illuminated keys will self-extinguish if you move your hands away from the keyboard for more than 5 seconds. If you want a keyboard that is always illuminated I recommend you buy a wired illuminated keyboard instead of a wireless keyboard. The keys are recessed into the keyboard giving the keyboard a low profile, but also making it extremely difficult to find some rarely used keys by feel, like the Esc key. I really, really, REALLY like the sound that the keys make when you press them, it is very quiet and even sort of soothing. Those of you who have typed on an old keyboard that makes a popping noise when you press the keys will really appreciate the quiet of this keyboard. This keyboard currently retails for $100. There is no way I would spend that much on it again because I'm learning that if you know how to type, the main purpose of an illuminated keyboard is for cosmetic purpose and for only a few dollars more than this keyboard's MSRP you can get a fancy, albeit wired, gaming keyboard that allows you to change the keyboard's colors and has other flashy features and allows the keyboard to be illuminated at all times. Conclusion, this keyboard is very nice but don't buy it if you want a keyboard that stays illuminated 24/7, and if you're already a proficient typist, you will rarely, if ever, need illuminated keys.

Best keyboard I’ve ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard has been fantastic, I love the low profile keys, the backlight has 4 brightness settings and the battery life is the best I’ve seen on any wireless backlit keyboard, I love the proximity sensor that turns on the lights when you need it to save power. My previous k800 keyboard finally gave up as the backlit no longer works but it did give me 11 years of service before this happened and I’m glad they still sell them as I bought another k800 to replace this one, hopefully it will last as long as the first one and yes Logitech has been making this keyboard for over 10 years with no changes since it was first sold.
