First I would like to say that I was waiting for a keyboard like this for the iPad. I along with everyone I know absolutely love this keyboard/cover. The keys are tactile and responsive and the battery life is awesome. Everything functions as promised. It works the same as the other "smart" covers as it will shut off the iPad when it closes. I am actually using this right now to write this review while I am sitting in a boring meeting, lol. The only downside is that the outside of the cover is used as the base as well. I just wish I could find a skin of some sort to protect this. Otherwise I have absolutely no complaints. Love the slim profile and the light as a feather weight. I have used other keyboards and they were all missing that "thing". It can't really be explained but those that are looking for another keyboard or are unhapy with your current one should give this one a try. The ultra slim profile really reduces the bulk associated with most keyboard covers.

I'm typing this review on mine, and I love it. I didn't like the clumsiness of loose keyboards or the bulkiness of leather cases with keyboards. This device gives a beautiful, sleek look with little bulk, and basically turns my iPad into a useful tool for taking notes at meetings and drafting documents. I've gotten a number of compliments on the cool look and inquiries on where I got it. The device also makes a great stand for hands free use. Only downs - won't work with my Belkin shell case, so I just snap it off and set the keyboard in it to protect from scratches on table; also very short charger cord, but charges super fast. Seems a little pricey at $100.00, but I like it so much I just bought my dad one.

I've used this keyboard for a couple of months to take notes in meetings. Primarily I use Evernote because it will capture text, photos and audio all in a single note. This keyboard is definitely faster than trying to type on-screen. For the money, this product works well and I would definitely buy this again. Out of a hundred uses, one time it got into a mode where all the keys repeated and it was unusable. I'm not sure if that was bluetooth interference or something else. It only happened once. Materials are definitely something to consider. People want to look at it all the time and the glossy plastic definitely shows grease and fingerprints. The back is silvered plastic and will probably scratch. Finally, the keyboard is a little smaller than standard, so you'll need to get used to that. Hinge: Unlike a smart cover, the magnetic hinge on the keyboard only stays on for 180 degrees. That is it goes from closed to flat open. It doesn't fold completely behind the iPad. Hard covers: You can't use a hard plastic cover on the back of the iPad. The slot in the keyboard is just big enough for the iPad. I have a cheap plastic cover on the back of mine, maybe 1mm thick, and it won't work. I'm going to try a gellskin instead. Finally, the spell checker does not work when using this keyboard. I'm guessing that's an Apple issue with the iPad and something Logitech can't control.

I looked at several keyboards in the store before choosing this one and while it was the most expensive, it was worth it to me. It is the lightest, thinnest, most compact of the keyboards out there and it is nice how it magnetically snaps on to the iPad as a cover when not in use. The keyboard doesn't take long to get used to when typing on it. While it isn't the same as my laptop keyboard, it is still easy to type on. I like not having to touch/type on the actual iPad now that I have this.

Overall, I love this keyboard. It's easy to type on and the charge seems to last forever. I charged the pad when I got it a month ago and haven't charged it since. The only complaint is there is something sticky in the track where the IPAD goes. This eventually peeled over the protective plastic shield. I now use the IPAD without the shield. I love the magnetic piece on the back that makes it very simple to close the IPAD with the keyboard which also protects the IPAD. For my money this is the best bluetooth keypad device available for the IPAD.

Steve Jobs, Jony Ive and the Apple team designed the iPad so that it wouldn't need an external keyboard, but as I use the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover I can't help thinking that had Jobs seen it in action, he might have accepted it into the iPad family as a viable, well-designed accessory. The Ultrathin has a good keyboard feel (although some folks will need some time to get used to it) and is designed to display the iPad perfectly at a proper working/viewing angle. I've read some complaints that it doesn't protect the back, but then again, neither does the Smart Cover. The iPad 2 and 3 already were great content-creating devices, but the Logitech Ultrathin greatly increases the creative potential of the iPad.

I had another keyboard which was okay but was too bulky to carry around. I saw this one and it was just perfect. It setup easy, charge lasts a very long time. I keep it turned off until i actually use it. but it syncs quickly when turned on. Keys are perfect for me, take a little getting used to since they are a little bit different from a regular keyboard but didnt take but once to overcome that one. It is slim enough to put into a pouch or slim carry bag with just the IPAD and is not bulky or heavy. The only thing i wish it used the same charger as the IPAD, but since it does need to be charged very often, it is not a major issue. Would highly recommend it.

I purchased my Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard for my iPad (3rd generation). I'm a grandma and to push letters on a screen instead of typing didn't work at all for me. So I did my online research and choose a keyboard (originally it was not this keyboard as I was shopping by price and not quality). When I went to Best Buy to purchase the chosen keyboard, the sales clerk showed me this keyboard and I was immediately sold. Apparently the keyboard that I had intended to buy when I walked in had had high customer complaints in the past several weeks. HOWEVER, shortly after my purchase I started to have problems with part of the "tray" where the iPad sits into while using. A strip of 'sticky' tape started to come loose, and each time I would try and remove my iPad from the tray, the sticky strip tugged on my protective iPad screen, pulling loose about 1/4 of the screen! I also noticed that the magnetized sections of the tray were not holding the iPad as well into the cradle as before. I traveled back to Best Buy and because I was out of my 30-45 day from purchase window (sorry, I can't remember which), I was told to contact the company. I figured that I was going to be out the $100 I spent on what was now virtually a defective iPad tray. Being a grandma, I took some ribbon and attached it to the cradle tray, and this allowed me to keep using the keyboard in the intended position on the keyboard -- but it looked pretty ugly. Sure that I was going to be out of luck, I took a chance and contacted the company by telephone first. The gentlemen asked me for the information from the keyboard and quickly explained that yes that unit was one of the defective ones, and that the company would replace the defective keyboard immediately and at no cost to me! I didn't have the original box that the keyboard came with, and I had to travel back to Best Buy to get a copy of that receipt (another HUGE reason why I shop only at Best Buy for electronics - as I try to save my receipts, but sometimes they don't make it to that proper saving place). I forwarded the e-mail with the scan of my receipt to Logitech and within 1 1/2 - 2 weeks I had my new replacement keyboard. That was the easiest return/replacement of a defective product that I have EVER had, and has made me a Logitech customer for life. And to top that off, I'm a little embarrassed to say, they didn't even want me to return the defective unit, and now my daughter is enjoying using the defective one (that is still useful, it is just that the iPad doesn't stay as securely in the cradle, and it has a ribbon barrier preventing the sticky strip from attaching to things it shouldn't). My opinion, you cannot pass up customer service like this from Logitech! I truly figured that I was going to be out the $100 bucks and left with the decision to buy another one, or try a different one. My opinion, this is the best portable keyboard for an iPad on the market as of today that I have seen.

Bluetooth keyboards are not all the same--usability of the keyboard is impacted by the design of the key mechanism, and the bluetooth connection must be able to sleep and wake instantly when used. Of all the bluetooth keyboards for the iPad, the only ones work looking at are the Zagg Folio and the Logitech Slim Keyboard Cover. And the Logitech wins due to its impeccable, Apple-worthy design. It is simply beautiful and without compare. HOWEVER, there is one important design flaw. Logitech includes two rubber strips glued into the slot where the iPad sits when it is used. THe challenge is that over time, the glue loosens and the rubber pieces stretch and move around, ultimately interfering with the iPad. I have had to return the unit for a new one as a result. I am now on my second one and will see if the rubber strips behave the same way.

I have owned several iPad keyboards. My two previous keyboards were the Zagg for my iPad 1 and 2. These were good keyboards, but removing the iPad from the keyboard case could be difficult. With the magnetic closers on this new unit it is a breeze and the keys feel very similar to my MB Air. You will not go wrong on this keyboard.

I had read about this and bought it when it first came out. Not disappointed at all. The keyboard is nice and quiet so it's great for taking notes in a quiet room, which is what I wanted. It was easy to connect to the iPad. The cover magnets snap securely onto the iPad and shut it off when not in use. Great product!!!

Wow! Well worth the money if you want a truly lightweight real keyboard for your Ipad. The keys are just as solid as your keyboard at home. I've unfortunately bought other cool keyboards that roll up and look cool, but then I can't seem to use the keys with ease. I'm typing super fast on it right now in a foreign country. Having the equivalent to my laptop with me, but traveling with much less weight is awesome.

I used to avoid taking my iPad into meetings because it was just too awkward to type on screen...and even distracting to other meeting participants. No longer! This keyboard quickly pairs with the iPad, is unobtrusive, quiet, and totally functional. I highly recommend it. Also great for use at coffee shops!

Works great, easy BT mating, I like it! Ivd used mine now for about 2 months daily, it has handled everything I needed it for. And, one more thing...it is superthin and super light. It works fine with my existing protective sleeve....

I've had this keyboard case for about a month now and picked it up when it was first released. I do believe this is one of the best accessories one could have for their iPad. The keyboard, although cramped, was easy to get used to and I can type very fast on it. It's very well built and solid, I've accidently dropped it once on a hard ceramic floor and it still works perfectly with no evidence of the drop. My only wish is, the product doesn't securely latch closed to the iPad. I don't know of this is functionally possible with the way the iPad is designed, but it would be nice if the keyboard could somehow securely latch shut on the side opposite of the magnet. This issue is solved with a slim sleave.

I love this keyboard. It just works and the clever use with the built in magnets makes it the ultimate keyboard for the iPad2 or new iPad. A just have for any serious iPad user who needs a keyboard.

i love this key board. i am new to IPAD world and knew i would not want to type on the screen. I am grateful for this product. Only one drawback. It acts as both a keyboard and as a protective cover for the screen. It locks tightly using the magnetic sides of the IPAD.However, there isn't a back cover to protect the back. And if you purchase a protective back cover, it covers over the magnetic sides. You would have to remove the back protective cover every time you wanted to attach the keyboard.

Love this keyboard. The iPad's magnets that hold a smart cover in place allow this keyboard to act like a smart cover and hold the keyboard firmly in the slot when using the iPad landscape on the keyboard.

This is a pretty good product and I would recommend. A little lag at times when typing fast. Over all the product works great and is easy to set up. I don't use my iPad without it anymore. Makes typing so much easier.

Great little keyboard, same size as the ipad and sooo much better than two finger typing. I dont mind answering emails now that I have a keyboard. Makes typing a lot faster.
