The Logitech Litra Beam is an outstanding key light which will greatly enhance the quality of your streaming videos and zoom calls. It could also be used as a desk lamp, photo light source or accent light. The stand is very sturdy and it can be positioned in a variety of ways with great height adjustment range. My opinion on this streaming key light may be a bit biased because I just love Logitech products – they are always well engineered, are packed with great features and have always given me long and very reliable service. Logitech was founded in Apples, Switzerland in 1981. Its first product was a computer mouse in 1982 that was adopted by several computer manufacturers (including Apple.) Later it was the first company to offer a replacement mouse to the consumer market. Logitech introduced wireless mice, optical mice and trackballs. By 2008 Logitech had produced over one billion mice. The Logitech mouse was followed by a wide variety of high quality products including a handheld scanner, keyboards, a digital camera, webcams, speakers and microphones. It acquired Harmony, the industry standard for programmable multi-equipment remote control devices, in 2004, then purchased Ultimate Ears, a creator of outstanding Bluetooth speakers, in 2008, bought Jaybird, a premier manufacturer of very fine Bluetooth earphones, in 2016 and most recently, acquired Astro Gaming in 2017. No tools are required – the three pieces (base, support and light bar) screw together by hand. The support bar is shaped so that it can go into the weighted base in only one way and the attachment to the base is very secure. The light bar has three possible attachment points which give you great flexibility in the shape of the complete unit. And Logitech has incorporated “infinity screws” which allow you to tighten the light bar to the support without fear of stripping the threads. The support bar can be raised from its fully-closed height of 15 inches to a maximum of 25 inches. The top of the support bar pivots and rotates, allowing you to point the light bar in any direction. The USB power cable clips to the light bar, the support bar and the base, keeping it out of the way. If you want to take the Litra Beam on the road, it disassembles easily and becomes very compact. All-in-all, a very solid design and the matte-black finish is very elegant. Typical outstanding Logitech engineering! Logitech designed the Litra Beam with beautiful ergonomic details which allow you to configure it in multiple positions to assure that it provides optimum lighting on your face during streaming sessions. The light bar has three attachment points, two at the center and one on the side. The stand extends in height from 15 inches to 25 inches, thereby capturing the likely range needed around your laptop or desktop webcam. The weighted stand insures that the light assembly will not wobble, no matter how the light bar is positioned. Operation of the Litra Beam is very simple. Position the light bar to give illumination where needed. Plug the USB-C to USB-A power cord into a USB 3.1 e2 port or a 1.4 amp 5 volt transformer. Press the on/off button on the light bar, adjust the brightness level with a set of buttons on the light bar and adjust the color temperature of the light with another set of buttons on the light bar. If you prefer, you can use the free Logitech G-Hub app to control the Litra Beam. That software can connect to the Litra Beam via Bluetooth. It is available for both PC and smartphone installations. The G-Hub can adjust the light level in 1% increments and the color temperature by Kelvin degrees. You can also save your settings as preset values. The quality of the light produced by the Litra Beam is unsurpassed. It has a Color Rendering Index of 93 which is extremely high even for devices costing far more. The positioning flexibility of the light bar, coupled with the superb frameless diffuser, allows you to create nearly perfect lighting for your videos and Zoom calls. You can enhance your appearance further by adjusting the color temperature of the light across a range from 2700 degrees Kelvin (candlelight) to 6500 degrees Kelvin (bright sunlight.) The light is particularly effective in creating natural skin tones in video streaming. This is the most difficult task for LEDs and Logitech has really mastered this challenge. The Litra Beam also functions very well as a photo light source. I used it in some still photography and was very pleased with the results. But beyond the primary use as a key light, the Litra Beam is a superb task light. I found that it provided just the right amount of light for my desk when doing non-computer activities. It also can serve very well as an accent lamp in your home and in that role the adjustable brightness and color temperature really served well. One wish I had for the Litra Beam was that the base could serve as a rechargeable power source. Given the modest drain of 7 watts, a built-in battery would give many hours of lighting before needing recharging. Of course, you could add your own battery power (any rechargeable battery with a USB port will work) but it would be nice to have the elegant base add that functionality. I am delighted to give the beautifully engineered Logitech Litra Beam five stars and my full and unreserved recommendation! It is attractively priced and it is an invaluable accessory for everyone who desires a professional appearance in streaming videos and Zoom calls.

I only bought this light because I needed one right away for a project I was shooting. If I didn't need it right away I would've just gone on Amazon because there are tons of much stronger lights out there for under/around this price point. PROS: - Sturdy design - Easy to use - Can plug it into the wall using an iphone wall plug and the light will last forever without needing to stay plugged into your computer CONS: - Compared to nearly every other light available at this price point, this one is nowhere near as bright as them even at its max brightness, and its bite sized list of customizable settings isn't even in the same ballpark as every other $90+ light. If your only goal is to have a light that you don't have to recharge constantly, that will shine on your face softly while you stream, then yup this does the trick. It's an upgrade from the average desk lamp. But if you're hoping to use it for other things, like video projects and whatnot, then you can get significantly more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Excellent light option for limited desk space or unique configuration. We have numerous stream lights in our gaming setups, but all the others are very large and cumbersome. This is simple and designed well and provides enough light to get the job done. The light does seem a bit excessively focused in a frontal pattern, so be aware if you have no lighting for your surroundings, the shadows around you will be very harsh even at low settings, at that point you’re going to need additional lights to cover those spots. However, YOU will definitely be the focal point of your video capture with this light!

Well designed, stable, tall, bright, customizable. I debated about giving it 5 stars … it is missing Logitech keyboard/mouse based control support. Unless you own a G series keyboard or mouse you have to use either the G-hub app or reach up behind the light bar to operate on off and light level controls. Bit of a nuisance in an otherwise fantastic product. Hope Logitech introduces light controls on their other keyboards soon!

There are cheaper more functional alternatives to this product. I liked the design of the product that allows you to change it between a table lamp and more of a t formation. The app isn’t very user friendly compared to hue or really any others. Overall but out performs This in almost every way.

Although the design is sleek and provides many opportunities for varying directions of light - It did not turn on when I bout it so I returned it.

The Logitech Litra Beam has been a great way to elevate the quality of my videos as well as my Zoom calls. The best part of the Logitech Litra Beam is the total control I have over the lighting in my videos. I can adjust the light beam to be either horizontal or vertical. This is great for focusing the light where I need it. I can also adjust the brightness and hue of the light-which helps me to feel more confident on camera and create my best look. Oh, and did I mention I’m able to adjust the light stand to sit between about 15 inches to 25 Inches depending on what suits my setup! In the past, trying to create my desired lighting was always a struggle or simply impossible. But Litra Beam allows the ability to create perfect lighting instantly and conveniently. It is a very sturdy light due to the circular base being quite heavy duty. This makes it great for sitting on your desk or other busy areas. It will not tip over easily. However, due to the heavy duty base, this light is probably not ideal for frequent transport as far as taking it on the go. The Logitech Litra Beam has a sleek and modern design. It does not take up much space for how powerful of a light it is. It is simple to set up and easy to use. For assembly I simply connect the base to the stand, and the stand to the light. And I operate the light on the logitech app. There are buttons on the back of the light you can use to operate. However I prefer the app so that I can set the light out of arm’s length and still turn it on very easily. Before I had the Logitech Litra Beam, I would spend so much time messing with my lamps and curtains to create the perfect kind of light. Being able to save that time and energy (and frustration) definitely makes every penny worth it for the Litra Beam. Now I am able to better spend that time and energy on the content of my videos because I know my lighting will always be perfect. And for my job, I always need to do Zoom meetings. It has been great to sit down at my desk at a moment's notice for a zoom meeting with a client and know my lighting will be bright and professional at any time. The right lighting helps me appear in better focus on camera. And because of the Litra Beam and the great lighting it provides, I have received much better engagement from my clients and audience. Getting the Litra Beam is a small and inexpensive way to create a big impact on the overall quality of my videos. The lighting on the Logitech Litra Beam creates an effect on my videos that looks professional- even if I am not someone who creates videos professionally and I don’t do anything to edit my videos! Having great lighting is probably the easiest way for my videos to be better without doing too much. So the Litra Beam has been a real lifesaver when I’m needing to make a quick but high quality video.

I find the Litra Beam is very modern looking and takes up minimal space. After opening you will notice the assembly instructions are on the lid of the box, which are very helpful might I add. It took about 1 min to assemble. Build quality seems fine. Its pretty sturdy. The base is heavy enough to hold it up. It telescopes up and down and the head swivels. It can be assembled in a few different configurations to fit almost any desktop placement. I know its advertised as light for streaming or content creators but honestly its overall also a really good desktop light. I was afraid it wouldn't be that bright but after using it for a few days I can tell you that is no longer a concern. Unless you need to be blinded by light I would say one is enough to do the job. It says it can get up to 400 lumen which is about half a normal sized lightbulb. I noticed it does get brighter if you plug it into a usb power brick. The light seems to be diffused in the housing pretty well too. Colors range from very cool blueish bright light to a very warm yellow light, and everything in-between. Great for video conferences, photo shoots, live streaming, video recording, and just simply lighting up your desk area. You can use it with Logitechs G HUB Software which extends its functionality. You dont need the software to operate but you do get more control of it once you install. It allows you to control the light and has some default configurations you can use. I think this is what really separates it from its comparable products and justifies its price point. Overall I think its a very versatile light and I really like it. For a light, it has a lot going for it. If you want a desktop light that has different color options and can be app controlled then this is a fantastic option. Logitech has always made great products and this light is no exception to that.
