Generally, ring lights feel cheap (wobbly and plastic). This light has a modern design and feels sturdy, and the accompanying MacOS app allows me to control the settings and keep its firmware updated easily along with my other Logitech hardware.

Primary drawback is only configurable through the lg hub software. Yet another thing to install when Logitech has so many softwares. No ability to control from a StreamDeck either.

Negatives: only powered via usb cord & it's a Type-A and it's pretty huge (imo). If you're using it for video chats, it might be too bright (even at the lowest level) to even look into your webcam if it's next to it. I will be looking for something smaller, but if i can't find one then I might keep this one.

Good for light but heavy

Having said that, the software is somewhat wonky and it’d be nice to be able to control it via a smartphone app.
