Forget the software though, It seems clunky and didn’t work so I manually turn on and make adjustments.

They made it seem like this was much worse than that. I couldn't justify spending the money on the Elgato product so I hesitantly bought this one. It works phenomenally on my face. I finally can look good while I'm getting backlit. No regrets about this purchase.

When paired with an additional ring light, this wound up leaving a "shadow" on that side of my face from the uneven lighting. If you don't need much additional light or are using this in a darker room, this might help, but this won't do much in addition to other LEDs.
