It always works and it's SUPER convenient to use in bed. It tracks perfectly for browsing and even light gaming and I don't need a mouse pad at all. No exaggeration, I was using it on my leg on mesh basketball shorts and it never even messed up a little bit. I love it.

I have had other Logitech products like this and none of have ever gone bad. My problem with them is I misplace the wireless insert instead of placing it back in the intended cradle within the mouse when not in use.
