While I understand that the word "silent" in the name isn't meant literally, I thought it would be at least somewhat noticeably quieter than my old mouse, and (spoiler alert) it was not. Another aggravating issue is its inability to work, sometimes even on the smoothest of surfaces. "Designed for smooth and precise moves on almost any surface" it is not. To be fair, I might be having tracking issues due to the fact that the USB Receiver doesn't go into the USB port (any of the four on different devices I've tried) without some original NES game cartridge style wiggling. (For the young folks, that means it is difficult to get to work without wiggling it to just the right spot and doesn't seem to fit properly)

I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the product. The M220 Silent is part of Logitech's base product line, and for the same reason, it may not outperform your previous device. So, if you are looking for an upgrade without spending much, I suggest the M650. The M650 is among the newest Logitech product, it is silent, and it offers Bluetooth besides the Bolt wireless adaptor, just in case you are still having issues with your USB ports. Also, you may be better off with Logitech top performers if you don't mind paying more for the top quality. If that is your case, I would recommend the MX Master 3. This device will offer you all the top features, and it will work on any surface, including bright, reflective, or transparent surfaces that may interfere with any regular mouse sensor. And yes, it was a Logitech, too. This mouse worked well until it didn't. It stopped working completely a year after purchase. I cleaned the battery contacts, replaced the battery, and updated drivers and suddenly it stopped working. Logitech doesn't make them like they used to.

Best Buy substituted rose gold for white
