The solution: go to Best Buy find knowledgeable associate describe issue. Associate recommends Logitech M310 Wireless Mouse. The result: mouse works likes a dreams, many positive family comments. Harmony restored. Happy Ending.

Best Buy had many options in store for me to choose from and for the price I decided to try the Logitech M310 wireless. This mouse work great with or without a mousepad, it's very quiet, and the tracking wheel is smooth. Overall great product.

Perfect mix of form and function

However, this mouse is well-designed and ergonomically crafted so that it would easily feel comfortable for a large range of hand sizes. The function is brilliant, so if you need a reliable, comfortable mouse that performs well, this is the mouse for you.

I never have an issue when moving them from device to device and the variety of colors makes it easy to distinguish which device it belongs to. This model makes it easier for larger hands to use.

Son loves it!

I wasn't sure about getting him a wire free one but apparently it is the best thing I have ever done (according to him lol). He says it works great and he loves it. We have not had any issues with it.
