It takes a battery, so remember to turn it off every time you're done with it. It's powered by bluetooth, not wi-fi, so it doesn't eat up data. The only inconvenience is you can't use it as you would a desktop mouse to wake up the laptop. You still have to use the keyboard for this. But otherwise, I'm very happy with it! It's very comfortable as well. You can still use your laptop device control to adjust the speed of the mouse, which helps a great deal.

They're fairly durable and function as you'd expect, but they're the most basic of basic. No toggle for the wheel, which is sad and it's a bit long and narrow.
