The solution: go to Best Buy find knowledgeable associate describe issue. Associate recommends Logitech M310 Wireless Mouse. The result: mouse works likes a dreams, many positive family comments. Harmony restored. Happy Ending.

I'll miss the rainbow changing color shifts and at the same time realized that simple is better. The Logitech fits the bill perfectly. Simple controls, completed the set up by itself. No problems since purchase.

I wasn't sure about getting him a wire free one but apparently it is the best thing I have ever done (according to him lol). He says it works great and he loves it. We have not had any issues with it.

For games, works great for the price. Not like the $100.00 plus ones used for the big gamers, but definitely works greats on almost any average game playing. Recommend as a great replacement to a broken mouse for daily use.

Very easy to set up and a great quality product for the price. No problems and the black one and it has been used every day since we bought it.
