It’s very frustrating and will be returning this when I get the next chance.

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing with your mouse. Here are possible solutions: Clean your M310 mouse sensor with a soft cloth or a Q-tip. Use a mouse pad and avoid using your mouse on the following surfaces:
Glass or other transparent surfaces
Mirrors, metals or other reflective surfaces

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am happy with my logitech mouse but i wish i had done more research before purchasing. the 325 series is 1 dollar cheaper but comes with a feature that is worth the cost of the whole mouse which is a unifying receiver that can be paired with multiple logitech devices, where as the 310 is a bit larger and missing this one great feature. i now have a wireless keyboard that is a paperweight without the unifying receiver, so save a dollar and buy a 325 series. ;-)
