I use laptop somewhat infrequently, but definitely want a mouse. This inexpensive mouse does the job very well. However, would not recommend it for heavy use, as there are others with more features for heavy users.

I tried those once and the Canon printer could not read the actual status, so I never knew how much ink was remaining until my copies began fading.

It has an on/off toggle to save battery life when being transported in a laptop carry case. It works well on most surfaces. The only drawback is that it does not work on smooth glass surfaces.
