pretty nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a nice size, recognizes it as soon as you plug in USB but the on/off switch is a pain. If you forget it goes through allot of batteries.

Great wireless mouse at a great price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech M315 Compact Wireless is great for various situations when calls for a mouse. The mouse works well on both a laptops and android tablets that have USB port; When using it on tablets it makes it a much nicer experience to navigate. The mouse is small but its form factor makes it easy to carry around from place to place. The ergonomic design of the M315 is easy to hold and it fits a perfect comfortable contoured shape to the hand. There are rubber grips on the side of the mouse ensuring that there will never be slippery grip. The clicking of the left side and the right side of the mouse has tremendous feedback and its just feels nice when your fingers clicks down. Scroll wheel is responsive and not difficult or stiff to move. The mouse also works on hard surface a lot better then most cheap mouses out there. It's 2.4 GHz which gives good range away from the nano receiver that comes with it. The product clams it can handle a year of battery life from a single AA battery but it's yet to be tested but it would have made this product a lot better if it was rechargeable. The nice part is that it does come with a small smart indicator that lets you know where your battery life is and lights up green. It's a nice mouse for a very cheap price and since its from a quality company like Logitech I wouldn't pass up something like this. As I said before this even works with Android Tablets with USB ports as well as MAC, PC, and Linux so I doubt you would have a problem using it.

Great for a compact
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a simple mouse. It has three buttons: left, right, and scroll wheel click. The scroll wheel does not have a left-right click, as some mice do. In the same fashion, this mouse does not have additional thumb and pinky buttons. But that is not what I wanted in a mouse and if you want those, you need more mouse than this little guy. I wanted simple, under the principle that fewer things could go wrong down the line. What it has: A 3 year warranty. Especially important to me after being burned by a defective Microsoft mouse after 6 months. Plug and play. I think it comes with a CD, but i didnt use it. Okay no it doesnt I checked. The transmitter is so small you can leave it in your laptop for travels but if you're overly protective like me, you can remove the battery cover and insert the transmitter in its special cubby next to the battery. Wireless. Works from over 6 feet away, through a human body. I figure some of you will want to use this on a couch next to your leg and the signal would need to traverse your thigh and distance to said PC/mac. It does. It works on most surfaces, even fabric, though it might have some issues with deep carpet. The "light" is pretty much invisible, so it wont blind you when you turn on the mouse. Buttons. I like that the left and right buttons seamlessly connect with the body of the mouse. Fewer cracks for grime to slink into. The scroll wheel is textured, both on the outside, and when scrolling. I like when my scroll wheel has some resistance. This one is perfect: tactile increments, but silky silent and easy to roll. Cant stand those freewheel-type mouses. Battery light and on-off switch. Always nice on a battery operated mouse, though I dont see myself ever looking at the light. When the cursor stops moving, time to get a new battery. Pads. Four total, one in each corner of the mouse. These will probably be the first to go with how I lay the full weight of my hand on the mouse, but they do the job nicely, allowing for easy movement over surfaces. Finish. The mouse has a slightly matted texture, not so textured its ugly, but enough that if your palms get sweaty, it doesnt get slippery. Rubbery sides help too. Not to soft and gushy, not to hard and stiff. Overall, an excellent mouse. Now some gripes. This is a compact mouse. The fact of the matter is I am a male with a 7.5 inch hand from fingertip to base of hand and I palm the mouse. None of that claw grip for me. When the body of the mouse fits into the cup of my hand, my fingertips hang over the top of the mouse like some out-of-control mess on the kitchen counter. I have to curl my fingers up to reach the buttons properly. But its a compact mouse, its not the fault of the mouse for that, it was born that way. But now you know. Clicks. You know the cheap mouse you got for free when you bought a Windows 95 PC? Yeah the clicks sound like that. Maybe not as loud, and are a higher pitch, but definitely audible. I had a nearly silent buttoned mouse and liked its lack of noise emitting clickers. But maybe you're into that sort of stuff. Hopefully. I couldnt decide if I liked this feature or hated it, but I have settled on "annoying" for now: You have to remove the battery cover from the mouse to insert the transmitter in its cubby for travels. While this could assist in protecting the transmitter and support my overprotectiveness, I dislike having to open the compartment every time. The tab holding the compartment on could break. Then I would have to tape it. Yuck. But how much will I be traveling, anyways? And you may decide that the 1/4 inch transmitter sticking out of your laptop is just fine being left there. Your call. It came with a cheapo battery. Im nitpicking at this point. At least it came with a battery at all. All in all, I would definitely buy this mouse again. I got this one on sale and will admit that there was only one digit between the $ sign and the decimal place if you know what I mean, but this mouse is worth full price. I got two of them and they work flawlessly. I will update if this mouse stays on the market long enough. J.Click

Most importantly...works well on many surfaces
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech M315 Wireless Mouse is a great basic optical mouse for casual users that are interested in portability. Logitech has been one of the leading innovators in mouse technology for as long as I have been using optical mice. This new addition to their family of optical mice does not disappoint. The M315 is a basic entry level optical mouse that retails for about $30. It offers excellent multi-surface tracking due to recent upgrades in Logitech's Advanced optical tracking system. Essentially Logitech found a way to make the M315 more accurate in tracking on more surfaces by changing the angle of the sensor. What this looks like in real time...when you look at the bottom of the mouse while it is plugged in, you no longer see the little red light (Gasp!) Nevertheless, the M315 performs admirably on many surfaces even glossy, polished wood surfaces like my office desk or my light colored Formica counter top. An Added benefit of this new optical design is increased battery life. Logitech actually claims users should get one full years worth of usage out of the included AA battery. At the point of this writing I have only had it for a month so we will have to wait until the year has passed to test the veracity of their claims. An unexpected extra I might mention is that this mouse ships with a 3 year limited mfr warranty as well as a carrying case, a nano receiver, a preinstalled AA battery The package ships with a USB nano receiver, which is designed to be almost imperceptible when plugged in (avoiding the problem of inadvertently blocking access of other USB devices when ports are placed closely together). The nano receiver is a feature previously reserved for the M315s older more expensive siblings. My experience using this mouse has been so great there are almost no flaws worth mentioning with the exception of the size of the unit. It seems a little small if you have larger than average hands but not out of the ordinary for its class of mice. It may not suit hardcore gamers looking for gaming features (at an extraordinarily high price) but for the average person on the street , it will work just fine (for both PC and Mac)

Great Add-on for any desktop or laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Small enough to be portable. I've been known to slip the mouse into my pocket when heading to a meetings. The USB receiver is small and stays out of the way. I leave it plugged in even when putting laptop in bag. Battery life is outstanding. I turn it on at the beginning of the day and off when I head home for the night. It easily lasts over a month, I can't even keep track of how long. I just keep a spare battery in bag for when it does need one. Changing battery is very easy. With a new battery in hand, you can change it out in less than 15 secs. It works very well on any surface. It works so well, I don't ever use a mouse pad with it. So no dirty worn out mouse pad at my desk. :-) I find that when you can catch it on sale, it makes a great office gift. You'll see your peers, the boss, etc. carrying it with them everywhere. I've probably bought over 20 of these as gifts and for my own use. Because of how well it works, I use this on desktops as well. I have used them on a variety of operating systems including OSX.

Very Precise and Comfortable Mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello, The Logitech M315 has really been a pleasure to use. I had recently purchased a Microsoft 3500 Wireless Mouse, but since getting the Logitech the Microsoft has not been used, While both are 2.4ghz Wireless, it really comes down to ergonomic preference with the M315 feeling much more comfortable to use. Much of this is due to how much higher the Rubber Surround goes around the Logitech making the Microsoft feeling quite plasticy by comparison. I also like that the M315 does not use a bright red light under the Mouse as well. In terms of connecting, the M315 truly has been a plug and play proposition for my Windows 7 PC's. Truly is a good, reasonably priced Mouse. While there are certainly more advanced Mouses's, the M315 is an excellent General Purpose Mouse. Cheers, JJ

Works well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hi, I used to have one of those Logitech - Old version ,Performance Mouse MX - Black - it has bigger reciever. It cost me ABOUT 108$ about 3-4 years ago. Well ,about 4-7 days ago it started not to work well anymore :):). Because of the mouse my notebook was getting lots of errors. I tried this mouse on my new SONY laptop. Same thing was happing to the SONY. Mouse pointer was all over the desktop but not where I needed IT to be:):) I could not take it anymore , so I went to best buy and got THIS NANO MOUSE. Everything is just fine now. My machines are working well. I respect LOGITECH products a lot .I noticed that IF one spends MORE for keyboard or mouse less time the product lasts. ;):) Anyway, I like the mouse that I bought BECAUSE its smaller and more precise than my old one.It Did not give me any errors yet :) I hope that it will last longer than 108$ one :):).

Excellent Travel Companion for Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I’m cheating a little and using some parts from my review of the Logitech - M510 Wireless Laser Mouse (5 starts) that I got to go with my new home computer. I now have the ‘little brother’ M315 Wireless Mouse connected to my work laptop and I’m writing this review while using it on business travel in Europe. I installed the receiver on the side USB of my laptop and connected the mouse. It was found right away and off I went. I will tell you the most amazing thing about the unit: It will track on almost any surface. Airplane tray table, wood, glass, wall, I even found that I could get it to track quite well on my arm and over my jeans on my upper leg!!!! I am VERY happy with every aspect of this mouse but would give a point of action to anyone buying any sort of ‘human interface device’: You should interface with it before buying it. I laugh at reviews from people who say a mouse it too small, too big, too clunky, etc…I spent an hour handling every unit Best Buy had in the store as the most important thing to me was the feel. With the M315 size was a factor as I travel extensively and wanted a wireless solution that was easy to take with me. The M510 is my preference due to its larger size but for travel the smaller size of the M315 is just right. (A very good solution for fulltime use if you have slightly smaller hands) Overall I’m extremely happy with this mouse. I also test the ‘Unifying Receiver’ with my Logitech K800 wireless keyboard. Two devises, one receiver, no problem

Great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this mouse at a very low price and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and functionality. The USB dongle that came with it (the Unifying feature) is very handy. I have since bought a Logitech wireless keyboard and it interfaced through the same USB dongle. Very convenient. The only slight I have about the mouse is that it feels a little lightweight but I got used to it and I love it.

Great Product, Great Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything is great about this. *Form Factor - Great size (slightly smaller than full size), very comfortable *Function - Works great, very responsive on various surfaces *Ease of use - Just put in a battery, plug the receiver into USB, and you're off. No driver headaches or device pairing mumbo-jumbo *Longevity - I have had it for months without replacing the battery yet. *Cost - Dirt cheap for a good mouse. I ended up paying $7.61 after tax for this on sale. I would totally get this again.
