I love the wireless mouse.

A bit small
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Default speed is a little faster than normal wired mouses, so switching back and forth is a hassle. The size is quite small, so it isn't very comfortable. Seeing that I could attach a video, I put one together, so go ahead and check it out.

A Great Little Mouse from Logitech
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I should start out by saying that over the past few years, I've used quite a few mice, specifically those of the wireless type. I've tried out big bulky gaming ones to small and sleek ones like the Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse. That being said, I enjoyed using the Logitech M315. It has its downfalls, but overall, I'd recommend it to a friend down the road. Here's my list of pros and cons for the device to help you make the best decision in whether or not to buy the mouse for your personal or work use. Pros: - The mouse is small, which makes it easy to throw in a bag and take along to work or school (or wherever you're going for that matter). It's not as portable as other mice out there, but for the price, you really can't go wrong. - It tracks well on many surfaces, and emits a good response. I didn't have a problem with the mouse not working on most of the surfaces I tested it on, but it worked sufficiently enough. I did have trouble on glass as is expected with a mouse of this caliber, but a simple mouse pad would remedy this. - Connection is simple. All you've really got to do is plug in the USB host adapter to your computer (which is just a small dongle that can be lose easily if you don't keep track of it) and your computer will install the mouse drivers. I haven't tested this on an Apple computer, but I'm sure it would work just the same. After your initial connection, you should be able to tweak the mouse's performance in the settings of your computer. In fact, you'll likely want to tweak the speed of the mouse, as it is a bit touchy (more on this in the "cons" section). Cons: - As stated earlier, one of my least favorite things about the mouse was it's initial response after setup. It tracks well, as I stated earlier, but it is EXTREMELY touchy. It was hard to control where my cursor was on the screen at first, and I needed to go into the Windows 7 settings and adjust the speed of the mouse to help out. This made it better, but not completely. - The build quality of the mouse is a bit suspect to me. Though that is to be expected due to the mouse's price range, it is made out of plastic and I'm just not sure how well the mouse would hold up to regular wear and tear over a great deal time. Only time will tell, I suppose. - While scrolling with the mouse's built-in scroll wheel was decent, it wasn't completely accurate and enjoyable. Page scrolling was sometimes erratic, making for a frustrating experience. - Lastly, I'm not a fan of wireless dongles. The Logitech M315 uses a small wireless dongle to connect to your computer, which is annoying because it takes up valuable USB space and can be easily lost. Such is the plight of many of these wireless mice, however. So that's my review of the Logitech M315 wireless compact mouse. It's a nice little mouse for someone who either needs a mouse for on the go or at home, but it's clearly not the best out there. That being said, I'm not too sure it tries to be. It requires batteries for operation, but so far, I've had no problems with connecting and sustaining battery life.

Cordless is always the best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech Compact Wireless Mouse is just what the technology doctor ordered. This product is great for anyone who is not comfortable with the finger swipe. I am strictly old school and still enjoy rolling and clicking my mouse to view my documents. I love this product because it allows me to surf my files with no wires attached.

Nice!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was part of a package purchased with a laptop computer. This is a really nice little wireless mouse. It fits nicely into the hand. It set up very easily as a plug and play item. Since the touchpad mouse on the laptop was sub-par, this little mouse came in very handy. When youre doing a lot of work on a laptop, its very nice to have a standard mouse to use. Nice product.

Works fine but better alternatives available
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first received the M315 I was excited about the possibility of new technology. I am the happy owner of 3 M305 mice, which are very capable, and thought the M315 would be as good or better. I was specifically interested in whether or not this mouse had the new unifying technology that allows the use of a single nano receiver to work with multiple Logitec wireless devices since my M305s do not have this technology and I must have a separate receiver for my wireless keyboard and mouse which takes up valuable usb ports on the laptop. Alas, this device lacks that latest tech so it is basically similar to the M305 in technology. The M315 specs indicate a more advanced tracking sensor over the M305 but I could not detect a noticeable difference in performance there. Perhaps the M315 works better on certain surfaces but I was unable to find an advantage. The size and feel is similar and the button pressure and tactile feel is similar. The one item that I found to be less than stellar is the scroll wheel. On the M305, it has bearing like smoothness with a ratcheting detent for feel. On the M315, it has more of a low friction drag feel to it that I found less appealing. My preference for the feel of the M305 scroll may be due to my familiarity with that mouse but I found the M315 less desirable for that reason. Like the M305, the M315 has on board storage for the receiver when it is not in use. It seems to have excellent battery life like its predecessors. It is plug and play which is really nice. All in all, it is well made like most Logitec devices. That being said, it is so similar to the M305 I am not sure why it is being made other than to replace the older model. If that is the case, then it is a slight step down from its predecessor, in my humble opinion. While this mouse is sure to perform well for years, I would personally recommend the Logitech mice that offer the Unifying technology to gain its advantages. If that doesn't interest you and you are looking for the most basic wireless mouse, then I would recommend the M305 for as long as it is available. It seems to perform just as good and feels better to operate.

Good desktop mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great mouse. It is very comfortable and feels well made. It has great features like an invisible laser and an indicator light on the front of the mouse for low battery. I don't like having to download the software to really change the pointer speed. The need to download an extension to enable smooth scrolling in Chrome is frustrating

Iogitech compact wireless mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This wireless mouse is very responsive and works on all types of surfaces. You don't need a mouse pad. I use mine without the pad and it works great. The USB receiver is short and doesn't protrude out like older models. Highly recommended.

Good mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's great and responds well, but I don't use it as much as I thought I would. The pad on my laptop is better than I thought it would be. If you prefer a mouse, this one will be great.

Great little wireless mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought originally for the laptop. Used this when the mouse (which has a cable) for the standalone was damaged beyond use. It's a great, easy to use, portable mouse. I'm going to buy another one for use with the standalone.

Execellent computer mouse

A must for laptops

Excellent Performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this mouse online and picked it up in the store. The price when I purchased it was $7.49, but it looks like it has gone up to $29.99 in the last day or two. I wouldn't pay $30 for a mouse so I guess I got it at the right time. The device is truly a "plug and play" accessory - I was able to simply plug the small receiver into the USB port of my laptop and Windows automatically downloaded the device driver from the internet in about 10 seconds. The mouse also includes batteries so you don't have to worry about that when you get it. The mouse works flawlessly so far so if you can get it on sale, it's a great deal.

Excellent choice

Useable but Noisy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.User is happy with the tactiles and the smaller size fits her hand better than the one she was using before. The "nano" size USB adapter is a lot less likely to be broken off (or damaging port). One drawback is the switches are noisy (audible click on each use - kind of annoying).
