I hook my laptop to my 52 inch TV and sit in my chair 4 to 5 feet away. My old wireless mouse couldn't work at that distance. So I thought I'd give this one a try. It was on sale. Much to my surprise, it works great and on any surface. I bought another one soon after and if I see them on sale again, I may just replace all my mice with these.

i bought this mouse specifically to use on the go. i have other logitech products so i used their "unifying receiver" feature. this allows you to connect up to 6 wireless devices to one adapter. the adapter that came with this mouse sadly broke. i have a very new computer with very tight usb slots and the plastic part of the receiver and the circuit board in the middle pulled out very easily when i tried to remove it from the computer. luckily i had three other receivers sitting around. these few have not fell to bits upon trying to remove them from the slot.
