Adjusting mouse properties or settings does not resolve the problem. It's works... barely. There has been nothing comparable on the market since a tracker ball.

Hmmmm, maybe a different model

The on/off switch is VERY difficult to move. I a afraid that somewhere down the line it will break. I had the same mouse before and after about 18 months the battery would get loose in the compartment and it would shut off.. When it works it works great but I am concerned with its workmanship

The power switch may be stuck due to manufacturing, so I recommend exchanging the mouse for another unit. As for the batteries, batteries can be different sizes (even if they're the same model), so a battery that is slightly smaller may be a little loose in the compartment.
