Not only is it just a plug and play mouse, but it has some features others don't!. With the scroll wheel you can open new tabs, go back one page, or go one forward one page with a simple click. Also the tracking system makes it easy to use on ones lap or pretty much anywhere. Highly recommend it for any student with a laptop.

The instructions in the product package were not clear to a non computer type like myself

No its not considered a gaming mouse, but it does the job very well. This mouse accommodates my big clumsy hands quite well and has excellent range. I like the 1usb plugin for multiple wireless applications too. Very nice Logitech thank you.
