Also, not having a cord is an added bonus. The battery lasts a long time. I don't think that I have replaced batteries in the 18 months that I have owned this mouse.

The compact design is perfect for those with smaller hands, such as children. I wouldn't waste my time with other choices if I were you.

It's nice to be free of yet another wire!

Don't forget that it requires an AA battery that will eventually need replacement. A handy on/off switch will preserve the battery life.
