It is very useful and portable. I bought two of this mouse few weeks ago and I have found that it meets my expectation though one needs to be careful to remove the usb part if the laptop has to be regularly carried around in a bag.

I have quite a few of these for home, and in laptop bags. Compact, responsive and reliable.

The directions were not clear that a USB device was needed to operate the mouse. Once I found the device (imbedded near the battery internally) it was very easy to install and operate.

It's too small to be perfect, but Logitech makes great mice. This makes a great mouse for a laptop to end the annoyance of the click pads and gesture pads that never seem to work as advertised.
