I'm not sure why the first one just stopped working at a year, but because of the affordable price I guess I got what I paid for. Otherwise I like the product and am very pleased with it.

Great mouse for any laptop

Just plug in the USB adapter and leave it. I use my laptop 8+ hours per day and find battery lasts for about 8 months before it need to be replaced.
