I bought this for my son. I swear by Logitech after trying several cheaper brands. Those cheaper brands failed very soon and ate up batteries. I use Logitech for my work laptop and they last forever. Installation is a simple USB connection.

It is small and portable like my laptop and its not all bulky so I love it, and the price is a steal.

This is a great little mouse that I bought to leave in my travel bag for work trips. Logitech really is a fantastic brand, I've had many wireless mice over the years and Logitech always work like you would expect. I've tried multiple other random brands and they often have funny little bugs or stop working after months, the only reason I've replaced Logitechs is because I'm looking for new features or lose the USB plug (which you can buy another plug and pair it with the mouse but at that point I figure I might as well try a new mouse). The one is small enough that it travels well but isn't a tiny mouse that will hurt your hand like a 'real' travel mouse. The side-scroll is also something I always look for and works great like usual.
