These Logitech mice are pretty fool-proof. Sometimes the battery has to be taken out and put back in to get the mouse to be recognized by the dongle, but it's fine. I have 2 and have configured them onto the same dongle so I can go between work and home, bringing only the laptop to and fro with me. Love the color selection.
