Logitech's unifying system comes in a few different modes of propreitary communication. That said, be sure you are sticking to one system when you are purchasing. The color of the icon (or lack there of) on the dongle should match for all of your hardware.

Ad on site said it was compatible with MacBook Air. It’s not since it’s not straight up Bluetooth connected, needs to plug in a usb adapter. My Son thinks it’s great though.

They're reliable, batteries last a long time and I love the Unifying receiver. I can pair any Logitech unifying mouse with any unifying receiver. Nice.
