Just plug in the usb and turn the mouse on and easy as that. I've had one of these before and if you put in a good name brand battery and turn it off when you're done it should last forever, my last one lasted a year or 2.

I think I've purchased a half dozen of these over the years and they always work so well. Precise and smooth, high quality, and with a Unifying receiver as well, for not a lot of money.

The signal strength is excellent with no degridation over the 34 ft. range between my computer and my smart TV.
