It comes with a battery inside and the usb is stored in the mouse as well. I plugged the usb in my laptop turned the in switch on and was all set. I'd recommend this item to my friends.

Logitech Mouse

It's easy to use and quick! Only funny thing is that the Dongle for it fits on the opposite side for a right hand user on this laptop.

Long battery life

It is fast and it works well, which is really all I need from a mouse. It also has a really good battery life. I bought it a little over a year ago and the battery that came with it is still going.

Purple mouse

I don’t like using the laptop square to move the cursor. I was use to using a mouse with my work computer which allows me more flexibility when navigating a spreadsheet. Love it and the color!

Great mouse for on the go

The only time I have had any issues with them is when I dropped my first one and the battery door broke. I had dropped it many times before, however the final drop was from about 3 1/2' onto concrete driveway.
