USB reciever stows away inside mouse for convenience. Only giving 4 stars because Bestbuy.com is inept at correctly describing products. THIS IS AN OPTICAL TRACKING MOUSE NOT LASER! May in fact return due to this not being what I thought I was buying.?

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hated using the touch pad on the laptops at my school and never got used to them (probably because I'm left-handed and the ergonomic design of laptops allows them to only accommodate for right-handers), so I knew I would need to get a mouse for my own laptop. When I went to my Best Buy, I couldn't believe all the varying colors and patterns: to the traditional gray and black, to the elegant swirls and shapes; the choices seemed endless. I went with a solid purple and am quite pleased with it. The battery is expected to last at least eighteen months, and its small size fits wonderfully against my feminine hands. It doesn't slow up on my laptop and works exceedingly better than the touchpad. Great product!

The mouse and dongle are compact. So it's good for travel. The dongle can be stored inside the mouse, or left in the laptop since it's really low profile. It's comfortable for daily use. Buttons and wheel seem durable. Just plug in and use or you can probably install the software and do more (I didn't). It uses a single AA battery. Great signal, too, from the distance from my laptop. Can't speak about the 4 feet distance if I were to use this on my desktop. Wish it had a back button though. But that's nit-picking.

Logitech mouse

Makes the job easier

The logitech mouse was a very simple tech install. Mouse fits very comfortable in hand and makes control of the mouse much easier. Wireless makes a big difference in using this mouse.
