So i bought her an inexpensive wireless mouse to use on my laptop - problem solved - easily. I just needed an inexpensive wireless mouse with no bells and whistles. That's exactly what i got for $14.

Great Little Wireless Mouse

I bought 2 of these and found that I loved them too. My 4 year old granddaughter works so much better with this small mouse. It feels great in your hand. Just plug in a small USB wireless receiver & it automatically installs software & WORKED RIGHT AWAY. You can also take the USB plug wherever you go & bring your mouse with you. Also the plug works with some Logitech wireless keyboards. AND the AA battery is supposed to last 18 months!
