I have not had any problems and the battery lasts a really long time especially if you turn it off when not using it.

It is easier to open the battery compartment and the small wireless receiver that goes into the USB port fits inside the compartment. So far, I have had no problems with it.

I LOVE the idea that the USB transmitter/receiver fits into the base of the mouse when not in use. That way then traveling with the laptop, I'm not worried about bumping it in the laptop case.
