It connects simply by plugging it in. As the laptop is finishing it's boot, if connected to the internet. It will download the needed driver and be ready to use once the laptop is fully booted.

I was using a mouse with the roll ball feature and I didn't really want to go back to a mouse like this. But the roller ball seemes to be making my arthritis in my thumb worse. So I switched ... my thumb has less stress and now i'm used to this mouse ... everything is great!

There were many available at the store and in many colors to choose from. Performance: It does exactly what I needed from this device. My wife wanted a small mouse which she can take anywhere and with a fast response when using it. This mouse is easy to carry on her laptop case and the buttons are very soft for fast moving with your mouse. She loves it!!!! Customer service: Very good customer service. I was greeted by an employee as soon as I walked through the door and helped me to contact the correct employee at the right area for getting my product, which I did quickly.
