I bought it for about $10 and my purple version looks great on my desk. I have no problems with it and the battery lasts a long time. Given the fact that I am always forgetting to click it to the "off" position, that is saying a lot. You can't go wrong for the price.

I use it on the arm of my recliner - no mouse pad required. It has hit the floor several times and still works like a charm. I put it in my slimline travel sack with my computer when I travel. I have bought it for friends as well.

Only minor problem is it uses up one USB connector. Not a problem for me since I have two USB ports, one of which is not powered when my PC is off, Fine for the wireless mouse. (Confusing since the mouse is totally wireless but gets its signal from the USB adaptor that comes with the mouse.)
