I "turn it off" when I am not using it, but I have needed to change the battery after only 3 weeks since purchase. Seems durable, as I bring it to work with me. Small,light,responsive, and i love the INTERNAL slot for the dongle. The mouse is a trifle small for my hand...still getting used to it. Would probably be PERFECT for women 5'4" or smaller. Definitely a great value for the price.
